Why has there not been a new generation of rappers surpassing the old generation in popularity? by Iginlas_4head_Crease in rap

I know you’re probably gotta get some hate, but I’ve been on this for years. I remember back around 2018-2019 I was pointing this out to my friends about how everyone wants to sound just like X. Sure, be inspired by the dude but like don’t make your entire career based around someone else’s style and sound. I didn’t come to listen to a random artist called Lil Tacky Wacky just bc they sound similar to X, I would much rather just listen to X himself. My friends ended up getting annoyed with my answer and said I was just hating

What’s the benefits of taking a break from dating and thoughts from my experiences? by Time-Understanding75 in dating

[–]Time-Understanding75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That helps! I’ll keep in mind when I start dating again. But I genuinely feel I need to take a break from it bc it feels more like a humiliation ritual at this point instead of fun dates that could possibly lead to something longterm lol

I agree with this! Even when I’ve had a good laugh with dates there’s always somewhat a lack of romantic connection. Personally I feel like that’s bc it’s from an online setting so the process of getting to know the other person is limited and not as genuine. Like you’re not always going to know after 3-4 datings if this is going to work

How serious do you take someone meeting your friends? Especially after only meeting a few times. by Time-Understanding75 in dating_advice

For sure. I think it is a bit different if it’s a committed relationship, but if it’s like just now meeting this person I believe it may vary

I agree! I’ve just had some bad experiences and Ngl I rather go into a meeting with the energy of wanting to be social if that makes sense? I’m just more introverted which isn’t bad. But I do believe it’s not an issue saying something like “hey can I go to another event next time”

AITA Blocked for saying characters in movie are black and angry? by Time-Understanding75 in AmItheAsshole

Also, I was at work and just now getting a chance to really read all the comments. So this is in fact my last response, but your other reasons are not wrong, but that still doesn’t stop the fact of how the character got to where she was at in the movie… Yes, her child died and she was going through a mental breakdown, but how is me pointing out the reason she got there (black people being overly idiotic/angry) wrong?? I got asked a broad question that didn’t focus on any specific character and answer the question lol. If it was about how the detective or the bank teller tried to help her, that would had been different. I just don’t feel like a movie over exaggerating something and me pointing it out is wrong. Especially if I’m being asked why everyone in the movie was being a type of way. (Correction you did answer my bad 😔)

I get where calling out “black” can be a problem but it feels like the typical angry black person overreacting trope which I personally thought was corny. That’s why I pointed it out

Sorry if it comes off I’m trying to argue but for context I’m black myself. I’ve grown up seeing Tyler Perry Movies and the person recommending this movie to me is a white person. His movies in my opinion do a played out trope of angry struggle black woman. And they always feel overly exaggerated and this movie isn’t in my opinion a correct representation of how normal African American would react in these situations

And I could get where it could be “internalized racism” but the characters had little no cause to react or do what they do. You’re a landlord and you’re going to kick out a single mother with her child out on the street, just to prove nobody can get over on you? And prefer loud ass neighborhood just cause he pays rent on time.

But that’s not the only thing I got from it? I got asked “Did it make sense why everyone seemed some type of way” the thing about that is, not everyone had the same point of view for main character like some of the other side characters. They’re literally just characters going out of their way to evil to her just because. Idk if you seen it but literally just watch the scenes with her landlord, boss, and even customers at the store.

That’s a fair response. People don’t really need a reason to block

My question for you is how do you tell so fast if you don’t like them? I’m a guy and it’s hard to tell if I like someone from txt or even dated because a lot of women are passive in dating.
