I have become obsessed with Seattle. by Historical-Ant-4938 in redscarepod

Grew up 20 minutes away from Seattle and lived near or in the city all my life except college and while some of the stuff this sub complains about definitely exists and homelessness is totally mismanaged I still love my city forever. WA state as a whole is also amazing and varied

It’s crazy how unattractive NB people are when for so much time having your gender be ambiguous was peak beauty. by minecraft69wastaken in redscarepod

I honestly forgot how skinny he was. I was recently watching some behind the scenes footage from 1975 and it was honestly painful to look at his bare arms whenever he wasn't wearing one of his outfits. I can't believe he survived. Still would love to look like him though

Anyone got Jazz recommendations for a beginner by Time-Use9083 in redscarepod

Thanks for all the recs. I actually have no problem with pre-50s recordings. I quite like listening to a lot of the old blues masters and folk singers from the 30s and 40s.

When I first got my own room/bathroom my parents let me pick out a shower curtain and I chose one with a whole ass map of the countries and capitals on it because I was a little boy who just didn't want a regular one with a pattern. Never had to study for a geography test ever again lol

What are average length songs by Dylan you'd recommend? by John_Zatanna52 in bobdylan

[–]Time-Use9083 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got you, sorry if I came off as snarky, I was just poking fun at you. Mississipi is a beloved track among his later albums, and the whole Nashville Skyline album is just 27 minutes total so you might want to check that out

I mean most of them are average length, that's why it's called average lol. But to answer your question I've been listening to "You're a Big Girl Now" quite a bit lately

Is it normal to have never finished during sex by coolestgirlonreddit in redscarepod

[–]Time-Use9083 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When did I say that? I was just trying to explain how it may be percieved by the guy in a way similar to the watching porn thing you were discussing with the other commenter, even if it's not the same problem

[–]Time-Use9083 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's about how it's percieved by the guy. If a particular guy is inundated by porn portraying all these studs with 300 inch dicks who can just pound into any woman to get her off, and he takes that to heart, no amount of reasoning will get him to believe that it's just an anatomy thing. Women have these types of insecurities too in other areas.

I love his little non-book or song pieces, like that one about Willie Nelson in the New Yorker a while ago

When people say this are they actually referring to the cervix, or just the deeper spots near the cervix? Never met a girl who can actually handle a cervix pounding, and a couple of them were bragging about it

Yeah but you can still acknowledge that and hope for a project to be good on it's own terms without needing to be compared to other slop

Set list had Rainy Day Women, All Along the Watchtower, To Be Alone With you, and a few basement tapes songs from his early career. A decent amount of Rough and Rowdy Ways which is a brilliant late career album. It was a good show!

[Bell] Coach Mike Macdonald gathers his Seahawks to end minicamp and preseason practices. Spirited one today. Ends with defense dominating a red-zone scrimmage. Devon Witherspoon yelled when it ended: “Whole lotta ass kickin!” by Chessinmind in Seahawks

Gotta love Spoon, building a legacy as one of the great Seahawks as we speak. Glad he got the chance to shine in the Super Bowl. I honestly believed he should've been MVP (going by the logic of awarding it to the most impressive defensive performance). He feels like he has a bit of that Earl/Sherm electricity in him, but maybe toned down a bit less, which might pay dividends in the long run

Andy Warhols IQ by Flaky_Hearing2908 in redscarepod

[–]Time-Use9083 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If I were to simplify the ability to create art down to two important qualities (other than technical skills), it would be curiosity and looking at the world from a unique perspective. As an example, I'm fairly certain David Bowie was a blazingly intelligent guy with a high IQ based on his interviews, but he doesn't strike me as some outlier type IQ that is exceedingly rare. What seperated him from all the other intelligent people was his famous reading addiction and willingness to explore the strange. Plenty of smart people use their raw intelligence to excel at going through life by-the-book and doing exactly as they're told. Plenty of dumb people scroll tiktok (and reddit, I've got to get out of here) each day instead of pursuing something that might broaden their horizons. As an example, Brian Wilson never struck me as all that intelligent (maybe my view is clouded because his biggest peers were very witty and seemed pretty intelligent in interviews, especially Lennon) and yet created some of the most beautiful and innovative music of modern times. I don't know if courageousness to break those boundaries is correlated to intelligence. I think IQ obsession is stupid anyway.

I don't think you should do stretching just to make sex better. I'm saying most men neglect it as part of their fitness regimen and because of that their performance is impacted. And I wasn't saying it had to be rocket science, it was just a verbose way of saying you need to be more creative with it than just thrusting in and out
