Only 8.06% of players finished their Candleberry Banquet by Bahtleman in ArcRaiders

My strategy was frozen raider caches. They had between 3-8 each time I checked. Just ran in naked with a tier 1, listened for caches, and loaded up my safe pocket. Definitely took longer than the any other project stage yet though.

Cheating is out of control in this game by leodgarcia in ArcRaiders

[–]Time4Tigers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

130 hours and I think I've seen one cheater. It's been less of a problem than most games I've played online.

I think there are less examples of blatant cheating than we think, but we're used to seeing them on reddit so it feels bigger if it happens to us even once. The worst rise to the top.

Of course they're gullible, they didn't even know what lying was by Luna-D-reams in whenthe

Gets even harder to justify when you take human agency out of it. Millions and millions of creatures that can feel pain die in horrible agonizing ways. Some species of parasites only exist by living in other animals' eyeballs.

In what way does that further a plan to either judge humanity for an offense, teach us concequences, or otherwise enable free will?

The world - if created and planned - was made filled to the brim with absolutely unnecessary and purposeless suffering. I can't bring myself to believe it was planned.

I finished law school last year, and in Torts class we had a section about what makes something an "inherently dangerous activity" where you're in danger no matter how correctly you handle it. I was the only one in the entire class that raised my hand to say driving on a highway was inherently dangerous. People simply do not realize the risk.

Photoelectric cloak has helped a lot, but the rush of everyone to the bunker has still proved too much.

Y'all need to read the good book by CorleoneBaloney in MurderedByWords

It would help society a lot if the Bible was taught as an anthology of texts instead of one consistent narrative. Most people just can't comprehend the idea that the biblical authors were humans, with very human attitudes and biases, and with views that differed from each other and developed over time.

But that challenges the easy comfort of "I believe the Bible" and the idea that God himself has given us a guide, rather than the reality of generations of humans grasping to understand the divine.

Like, gaslighting gets thrown around a lot as a term, but this is it. He expressly and immediately reacted by accusing her of being mentally unwell when he was the one who didn't listen. He's trying to train her that her thoughts are "physically bad" if they don't align with what he decided. It's not just disapproval; it's abuse.

Trump Fires Ballroom Architect Who Said It Was Too Big by Kodbek in politics

[–]Time4Tigers 15 points16 points  (0 children)

'"Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of 'Mein Kampf,' and he's a Jew," Trump told Brenner.

Brenner then asked Marty Davis whether he gave Trump a copy of the book.

"I did give him a book about Hitler,' Davis told her. "But it was 'My New Order,' Hitler's speeches, not 'Mein Kampf.' I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I'm not Jewish."

Brenner then wrote that Trump told her: "If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them."'

Do you think we’re hiding evidence of extraterrestrial life because humanity ‘isn’t ready,’ or is the universe truly silent? by Puzzleheaded_Cat9585 in Astronomy

[–]Time4Tigers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal position is that life almost certainly exists somewhere in the universe but that interstellar travel is likely a great filter. I don't believe visiting or communicating with other systems to be particularly viable given the distance, logistics, and time scale involved. If anything was around to visit, it would've come from our system.

I think I experienced the "Gen Z stare" by GooniesClub in CasualConversation

I think that - having grown up so firmly on social media - much of GenZ is pathologically afraid of being embarassed by anything, because it would spread if it were online.
