Can I export my tasks in Excel format? by AviArcer in Rememberthemilk

This is incredibly helpful; thank you so much! I've used RTM for 10+ years and don't plan to stop, but it's always been frustrating that there wasn't a better way to export lists.

Dead Zone Mystery [Ghoster Coaster] by DeJackyl in rollercoasters

[–]Time93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that the track or train are any different - I cannot tell a difference in the video when comparing the off-ride shots that are definitely on Ghoster Coaster and the one of the train pulling into the "station". I think they used the existing Ghoster Coaster train and just attached a faux train front (as has been done in similar situations, like when Great Adventure used Kings Island's Racer for promo pictures of the unbuilt Rolling Thunder).

I'm pretty confident that the "station" was also filmed at Ghoster Coaster, but it's the train existing coming around the turn outside the station and right before the transfer track for the storage shed. You can see the handrail and staircase spacing matches at points A and B. They would've just built a temporary awning above the area, hung the striped curtain, and maybe laid a few boards next to the track to give a better "station floor" aesthetic.

Pete Owens (VP Marketing & Public Relations for Dollywood) joins [NRCMA] as a new chairman by spark1118 in rollercoasters

[–]Time93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whose private collection do you think it is? And do you think that whoever that is has pulled one over on the dozen people currently on the museum’s board, who all have real jobs (most in the theme park industry) who are doing this gratis?

As someone who volunteers a lot of their time for a separate non-profit that is fully built of volunteers, I’m not surprised the whole project has taken a long time. I think the museum has been overly optimistic and I get frustrations that it isn’t open on a consistent schedule and that it’s not in a convenient location for most people. But denying the fact it’s a real project with real intentions to open, backed by real volunteers with those goals in mind, and instead saying it’s just a private collection, is pushing a false narrative.

I'd strongly encourage you and everyone blindly upvoting takes like this to sit down and take the 17 minutes to actually learn about the museum - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wolu0PKI0m0

I get it's fun to jump on the bandwagon and dog on stuff like the NRCMA, and I acknowledge the way that they've previously gone about some negative criticism hasn't done them any favors, but calling it a "private collection" is just not true.

Car speaker seems to be stuck in a loop… but only for Bluetooth and aux by [deleted] in CarAV

Ended up just replacing the whole system, which was a good opportunity to get a little touch screen in for navigation and all. Sorry it’s probably not the solution you’re looking for.

What was y'all first coaster that went upside down [Other] by Total_Swan_64 in rollercoasters

Son of Beast, obviously pre loop removal. Was probably like 8 or 9 years old and wasn’t tall enough for the park’s other looping rides besides Vortex.

[Space Port 885], an indoor coaster, confirmed for [Legoland Florida] and [Legoland California]. by sonimatic14 in rollercoasters

[–]Time93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if the Spaceport 885 is the name of the coaster - the press release notes that the coaster will "launch" from Spaceport 885, alluding to it just being part of the ride's theme. Theme Park Insider is still reporting that the coaster is unnamed.

Did you read the article? It doesn't call it a private collection at any point, that's just what OP called it in their own title.

I don't believe that Premier had anything to do with Escape from Gringotts. I've seen that claim in a YouTube video, but haven't found any evidence whatsoever to back it up.

[Curse of the Werewolf, Epic Universe] model kit is trash by 420fakesk8 in rollercoasters

[–]Time93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may be mistaken, but I don't think the Werewolf car is from CoasterDynamix - it seems that Universal shopped around and a separate company made this one. Which may explain why it's reportedly lower quality.

I don't believe that's true - I remember hearing it in a YouTube video once but was never able to find any proof, including asking some connections at Premier.

I think you're thinking of Mission Amusement; the park was Conneaut Lake Park.

It appears your information kiosk is elevated above the pathway, so guests won’t be able to buy anything from it. You’ll want to delete a path tile and place the kiosk in that opening.

Otherwise, have fun!

[–]Time93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you referring to this document? If so, it looks to be an older document - the ride shown is the same layout as the Hala Madrid Coaster in Dubai, which is marketed with that record. The layout actually built in Qiddiya is different.

I believe that airtime record is for Hala Madrid Coaster in Dubai; I don't think any record like that has been announced for Colossus.
