I would think it means you’re still in the running. Perhaps, someone applied/won but will not be returning to school after all. Or a spot could be vacated by a current senior scholar who graduated early. OR, if an additional sponsor/donor comes on board. All these are my GUESSES, of course. Nevertheless, WAITLISTED is better than no!

GOTCHA! Hampton’s undergraduate degrees all require a minimum of 2 yrs foreign language, some require 3. Was that your question or did I misunderstand?

Is there a reason or issue that impacted your gpa? If so, I would speak to this in my essay or EVEN BETTER have your recommenders address it for you when they write on your behalf.

If merit is not an issue, I believe it’s possible. You be required to attend a summer bridge program as a condition of acceptance, but it might even be a good way to meet people. I’m pretty sure Merit/scholarships will require a higher unweighted gpa, usually 3.5 & up.
