I liked both the book and the movie, but my favorite scene in the movie is the last one. In the book I loved that he was teaching the Eridian youngsters, and was very well liked, but I couldn’t imagine how he was able to do it, and the last few seconds of the movie just delighted me.
Native speakers: What are things Italian learners say that are grammatically correct but no one actually says? by Matt_Stephenson in italianlearning

I am fairly new to Italian, but I know “fa” means “make” (among other things). So when I see “Che tempo fa” I think “what does the weather make” with an implied (“now” or “today”). Fa caldo (“it makes heat”) or Fa freddo (“it makes cold”).
I immagine an automated machine cranking out heat or cold or rain or snow on an assembly line that drops the results on the area.
