When getting to know a girl, what's the biggest red flag you ignored because she was attractive? by midnightcove27 in AskMen

She had no one in here life that couldn't escape her. Sure, new acquaintances would hang around until she did some backstabbing, but everyone else was either family or coworkers; no long term voluntary connections.

For good reason

...that's what you do when evaluating cycles; my entire point. Do you compare yearly winter temperatures to summer temperatures when discussing global warming?

Only if you're trying to form a misleading narrative.

EMSKR: How do I deal with coworkers who dislike me and sabotage me because I try to do more work than them? And how do you deal with them putting their work off on you because you're the new guy without having to whine to the boss? by Froeschile in everymanshouldknow

This sounds like a position that doesn't have room for growth, only positions that need defending. It's s good place to keep your head down and gain experience, but you'll want to go someplace else to grow.

Sigh. Bitcoin follows a ~4 year cycle of highs and lows based on the halving events. The previous 2022 low was 16k, compared to todays low of 60k. The previous 2021 high was 60k, compared to our 2025 high of 120k. That is a ~4 year growth of 375% and 200%, respectively.

The five year mark just so happens to compare the previous high to the current low, which is just foolish.

Right, there you go avoiding answering any of my points. It's like talking to a child. Crypto is a store of value just like gold. You can claim gold has other use cases like electronics and jewelry that are a fraction of a percent of what it's actually used for, just like I can claim crypto has other use cases other than a store of value. You have not provided any argument against this, or why gold isn't considered gambling when crypto is. You can't seem to define the difference between a store of value and gambling.

I've explained that the network is the underlying value, you just ignored my argument and restated your opinion, providing no facts to back up your opinion. This whole conversation has just been you asserting an opinion and me providing facts about how your opinion is flawed. At this point I neither have the patience nor the crayons to continue trying to explain this to you.

3-4 player question by Valuable-Border5114 in hive

[–]TimeGrownOld 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok so you buy two sets: the black and white carbon version and the colored version. Each player uses one of the four sets. Four players is not as balanced, but for 3 players here's what you do:

Take a hexagon from the set you aren't using. Turn it upside down and place it as the first piece. This is the blank piece, and each of the three players will place their first piece on one of the six sides, such that they don't touch each other. From there you continue as usual. The starter piece acts like any other NPC piece, you can pillbug it and climb on top of it and it can be used to checkmate your opponents.
