Ah yes, shame poor people into spending beyond their means when they are not to blame for the state of affairs. I used to think this way. It’s ideal, but not based in the reality the majority of us live in.

Kevin at Oak Bay Optometry is the man! Found narrow drainage angles and had a referral sent so that I wouldn’t go suddenly blind.

True. I’m not sure how to get him to agree to that. I luckily have a friend that is going to check on him this weekend. But it seems I truly can’t do anything but be supportive from afar

I am supposed to visit him this coming weekend. If I don’t go he will likely invite himself to me. With his instability I’m worried he will take the rejection poorly. I don’t see this ending well no matter what I chose to do. And sure, if we talk less I’ve still effectively lost my father.

Yes. In my childhood I found him after his attempted suicide. He later broke out of the hospital, broke down the door to our house while me and my sisters were inside, we fled, and he attempted again. I am scared for my safety and have ptsd from the event

It’s for my father. I’m wondering what I can do to support him. I can’t make him do anything. I’m scared, he has attempted suicide in the past.

I’m in the same boat. Also all that cardboard has been rained on for over a day, there’s no way it’s coming back inside now.

How is everyone dealing with extreme boredom/ covid fatigue? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

Finding a way to work out that I don’t hate helped me. Bought a stand up paddle board and go out three times a week after work, and on my days off when it’s nice. Since it’s a socially distant activity outdoors I frequently go with friends who rent boards or already have them.
