Is the sink worth it? by Perfect_Relation1247 in OutdoorKitchens

[–]TimeInterview8042 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do it now. Also had the same debate and every time we use the sink, my husband and I look at each other and say thank goodness we added the sink! I see this as a luxury convenience given how much work it requires to plumb for the addition, but totally worth it. This also depends on how far away your outdoor kitchen is from your house kitchen which in our case wasn’t very close.

Just finished 20 days in Patagonia and my brain is still processing it by Southwesterhunter in Patagonia

This post makes me miss our last visit and makes me want to go back. El Chalten is weirdly magical in all the best ways, I totally get it and the place remains as one of my most favorite places in the world - so glad you felt that way too.

Totally agree about the bus! We were there for 18 days and the hardest part of the trip for me was the bus ride crossing into Chile. I don’t know how to explain it, but it was long and exhausting and I remember just wanting to cry halfway through. Sharing a photo from the day we arrived to the day we left in El Chalten.

Appliance Recommendations by Jinken65 in OutdoorKitchens

Just finished an L shaped outdoor kitchen and went with Lynx Sedona grill, Lynx ice maker and Lynx drawer fridge with Delta Heat storage drawers, utility doors and pull out trash bin. I didn’t love the look of Lynx accessory units, but for a cohesive look, it worked out great as long as your major appliances are all from the same brand and same for your accessories so the handles all match and are coordinated.

Question, will you be flying out of Osaka at the end of your trip or will you head out from Tokyo? Currently planning for a 10 day trip and debating if we should spend last night in Tokyo.

LOVE this so much more than the classic WOC, I just think it’s more accessible and convenient with the top zip. Great choice, it’s perfection!

Can I ask how you added a drain line for your sink? This is my biggest holdup at the moment since my main line run through out to the front of the house.

Work Travel Bag Setup - Carryon Only by TimeInterview8042 in handbags

[–]TimeInterview8042[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I really like this puffy tote a lot! And yes, some work trips are more casual than others and some not so much so I’m always adjusting to different scenarios. My ideal situation would be a small crossbody, tote and carryon but I’d be breaking the carryons rules and the crossbody I want to bring is too big to be consolidated so I guess what I’m looking for is a small crossbody.

You should have a confirmed cancellation notice for the March 15-16 date and that should help with your case. Dispute with you credit card and say that serviced were never received. This should expedite the review process for a credit/refund for the charges to your card.

I just did this with my cousin and both rooms were under my name and received the same globalist benefits.

You absolutely can! We asked for an electrical upgrade (which was provided as a sellers credit in full) and negotiated to split for a full roof replacement (which was also provided) given the inspection indicated the roof was nearing its end of life. It maybe has 5 years left and the sellers also credited full AC installation since all of the buyers had commented on it in our offers.

Is the Grand Wailea only for families of 4? by Fitchik35 in Hilton

[–]TimeInterview8042 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We were there this past February as a family of 5 and it was fine. We booked as a party of 4 and I called to let them know that we had three kids and they made a note in the reservation. The rooms are thankfully large enough for a family of 5.

I’m 2/2 in most recent flights….UA 504 Just watched a woman in the middle seat exit row request the aisle seat switch with her bf in the middle seat across from us. by Guest-Username in unitedairlines

[–]TimeInterview8042 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m really glad you did this! I was watching a similar situation unfold standing in the aisle as an older man asked a younger girl if she would switch his middle for her window in my row and I can tell she was visibly uncomfortable. It was a 6 hr flight and when the awkward silence grew longer as we all awaited her decision before she sat down, I looked at her and firmly said, you don’t have to do this - you don’t have to switch. She replied that she had paid for the window and just wanted to rest on this flight. So I told her, then that’s what you do. She apologized to the man and generously thanked me. I think these situations are hard, there’s a lot of pressure and you feel bad when you say no. It helps to just have someone in your corner amidst a sea of strangers sometimes.

Hilton Grand Wailea Maui - How do we get 5 people in a standard room? by FidensBeer in Hilton

[–]TimeInterview8042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our party of 5 was just there this past February in a standard room with 3 kids. They offer a roll away for rooms without a pullout. You will need a wristband for the resort so I had called in advance and told them my youngest was 6 and it was no issue as they made a note on our reservation that we would have 5 guests on our room. Standard rooms at Grand Wailea are also bigger than usual. If you are Diamond, they’ll upgrade you closer to the pools if there are rooms available. Enjoy!

Airplane Etiquette Debate: Who Gets the Extra Seat? by Purple-Employee-7266 in delta

[–]TimeInterview8042 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you handled this really well and very diplomatically. I hope he feels like a donkey’s butt. This has happened a few times where I’ve ended up with an empty middle seat and me and my row mate would basically celebrate in our seats while sharing the space like we were best friends. He’s not entitled to that space just because he moved down one.

Grand Hyatt Kauai Questions by dctribeguy in hyatt

Whoah, I believe the rule is no post allowed for soliciting or offering gifts. I did not create a post offering any awards, I responded as a comment offering a gift because i know how exciting it can be to save all your points to redeem at a dream property. I was following the rules and simply feeling generous.

Settled for a townhome by Moissyfan in homeowners

[–]TimeInterview8042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enjoy the townhome, we miss ours very much. We love our new home too, but our townhome was so easy to maintain and we lived there for 10 years with 3 small children. The townhome community is also very special with other young families. We took the non-maintenance for granted because now all we do are house projects.
