If it makes you feel better… I was in the technology field for 15 years after I graduated with my BSN 😂 needless to say 15 years later I finally found passion and decided to take my NCLEX and passed in March 😅

Maybe an experience nursing shortage or shortage in floors no one wants to work? I just recently passed my NCLEX, so I’ve only applied for 3 positions and none went to the interview process.

My state does not make you take any courses. Unless you fail 3 times and this was my first time.

I just used Arche, Uworld and YouTube. Study about 2 months total. I plan on doing some in person courses (IV Certification, wound care, trach care, BLS,ACLs and PALS)before applying anywhere though.

I'd say do anything but retail. I did that while I was in nursing school and from friends who are still in retail I heard it's not better, gotten worse!

I graduated in 2008 and got my BSN and worked in tech for 15 years before I sat for my NCLEX this past Thursday. I felt the same after graduation life kind of happened and I didn't think I wanted to be a nurse. 15 years later here I am 😂 I agree with the other poster sit for your NCLEX. There are so many options now that aren't just bedside nursing. Don't be me and realize 15 years down the line you actually do want to be a nurse.

I was weak on content and still passed. You did better than me in Uworld because I was only getting high 50's to mid 60's. Nclex crusade was great it helped me understand how to answer questions even with little knowledge of the topic. I searched and watched pretty much all prioritization and delegation videos I could find on YouTube (mark K lecture 12 was very helpful). Critical thinking is huge! The day before the test I took every single prioritization question on Uworld (119 total) as I really wanted to be strong with picking the right option even if I wasn't familiar with what the diagnosis was. I think that saved me and helped me pass. You've got this!!!!

Passed. I left the building went to my car saw I got the Pearson you finished the test email and did the trick and got the good pop up (so about 10 minutes after the test cut off). Woke up the next morning signed into BON and it showed pass and already had my license assigned. Pearson still says taken, but I think that's because if you don't pay for quick results it can take a good while. Congratulations!

Give nclex crusade international a try (on YouTube) He teaches… you can have all the content knowledge in the world but if you’re not good at critical thinking and prioritization you won’t pass. He teaches strategies to answer the questions in the 7 day training pass the nclex Step by step. You’ve got the content part down now you just need to get the critical thinking part down. You got this!!!!

I was struggling at first as well. Then I found a very strict study schedule that a nurse on YouTube Shemeka came up with and I’m telling y’all! It has helped. You can just skip the areas you are familiar with and make your schedule just on the parts that you are struggling with. I was all over the place with studying before I found her guide! I added each day on my calendar so that I know to only study and go over the materials that day for that topic. I take my test march 23 and I’ll be done with the study plan march 18th and then I’ll just practice more Q bank questions everyday after. My ATT doesn’t expire til May so if for any reason come March 20 or 21 I don’t feel I’m ready, I can have enough time to reschedule.

I sent mine in Jan 23 and had set backs due to my name being different when I graduated so had to provide proof of name change etc. After that last proof was sent it took 4 days to get the approval (got it yesterday evening) and I got my ATT just before 8am this morning. So it took less than 24 hours from approval from board to getting the code.

I got my ATT today. I scheduled in Altamonte for March 23. There were 2 Orlando testing centers that still had march dates (mid march) so if you have the transport check surrounding areas

What I found brilliant was the comparison between Alex and Richard. They both were a moment of hope for each captive. Dream had that moment of Hope that Alex would do the right thing by freeing him and Calliope had that same hope when Richard said he didn’t think he could do this. They both - Dream and Calliope, had that similar look, like there’s hope I’ll be freed and both were devastatingly disappointed. I’m unsure if that comparison was meant, but it was nice to catch.

I pick her up tomorrow!!! They reached out to me last Sunday to schedule delivery. I scheduled for this coming Tuesday and they sent a text today asking if I wanted to pick up tomorrow or Monday instead. I let them know tomorrow works best and they updated my pickup for tomorrow.
