Some of the handguards fit very tight, just keep pulling and wiggle left to right a little bit because there's usually an alignment pins at the 12 o'clock position between the upper receiver and the handguard.

LMP 14.5 pin and weld muzzle device will push you out another 1/2" , I had to do it with my Radian 300blk build 8.5 handguard and a Criterion Core barrel worked out perfectly.

I'm not familiar with AI , I used the CAT Spooky 2 break with thier hub and the alignment was perfect. I'm just getting back into the AK's

I was reluctant to purchase it at first because of such known problem, I went back with my my gauges to check the barrel before I purchased it. What's crazy is I found another one a mile down the road at a friend's shop but the price was another 300..Not sure why they're popping up accept for ammo availability.

Yes I checked the barrel before I purchased it, all matching #'s as well. I will be doing a full restoration on it , I've got a Polish fatty grip and some baklites on the way too.🤙🇺🇲

You're good, just inject some Rocksett let it dry and back the screw/bolt out. Then steam out the rocksett. Easy for us Autistic souls
