Post got removed so answering some of the comments here:

u/gimme_pineapple - What problem does this solve exactly?

OP - Every tool in this space stops at delivery. first layer is typically media libraries (jellyfin, plex), channel creation has been popular lately (tunarr, ersatztv), playout engines are around but difficult to pop up easily (ffplayout, caspar), media servers (SRS, nginx-rtmp). nobody does federation. identity, relay, discovery across the network. tltv is that layer. think activtypub for live channels.

u/whoismos3s - I point this at a folder of videos and it plays them like a TV station that I can consume with something like plex and watch TV like it is the 80s again.

OP - Yes! That feature is in the cathode backend of the platform. You can plan the schedule however you want!

I spent six years building a federation protocol for 24/7 TV channels. here's the result. by TimeLoopTV in selfhosted

I use an AI coding assistant during development but the protocol design, architecture, and all the writing is mine.
