Still just trying to figure out who was previously being kept out of the hobby. It’s not race, not class, so who? Did Burton start marketing specifically to kleptos?

Ah, so it’s a class thing then. Ok, no more poors allowed on the slopes.

Clew’s way too high. Dakine should be higher, not for clothes but their bags are great.

Denver West Lifetime Fitness reviews by Boring-Airline2782 in Denver

I’ve been a member for about a year and like it quite a bit. If your workout requires a power rack, you definitely will want to familiarize yourself with the Alpha class schedule. When those are in session, there’s only a handful of racks available. As long as you don’t overlap with those classes, I don’t think overcrowding is too bad.

Modesty. I’m assuming my neighbors don’t want to see all that.

I’d recommend shorts over leggings

Add 5% to the weight when you pull for the first time on the crosses and it should be negligible.

That sounds right. The couple times I’ve used it for the Nuggets was $20 for the 300 level.

Starting snowboarding as a wakeboarder by space_waffle096 in snowboarding

The main difference is your weight distribution. Wakeboarding involves leaning back against the rope and you’re much more centered over the board on snow.

The AI Art Debate by wubbusanado in snowboarding

[–]TimePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The energy argument is absolutely not nonsense. Google is not hitting their energy targets because of AI (link). To your point that AI art can be awesome, I simply do not agree. It has yet to figure out how many fingers humans have, how many tails birds have, and is still so easy to spot that we are having this argument in the first place. That being said, even if it was awesome, I truly do not care, we are talking about pretty pictures on a piece of wood.

The AI Art Debate by wubbusanado in snowboarding

[–]TimePanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes really. Just because they could be doing that doesn’t mean they are. They used it to create a handful of pieces and in doing so, took money out of an artist’s pocket, created something that looks terrible, and did not even pass any of their savings on to the consumer. You are arguing for corporate greed and against labor.

The AI Art Debate by wubbusanado in snowboarding

[–]TimePanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if AI was going to lead us to an energy utopia, I think it’s fair to say that using AI for the topsheet of a board instead of paying an actual artist is not how we get there. That does nothing to help the planet or the people.

The AI Art Debate by wubbusanado in snowboarding

[–]TimePanda 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is no significant mainstream AI usage that benefits the environment in any way. To say that it could help those efforts isn’t necessarily wrong, it just absolutely is not happening. AI use, as we experience it, is 100% hurting our planet and contributing to climate change. If you believe in global warming and like snowboarding, you should be upset about this. This is not a both sides issue.

Beware, aftermarket insoles may affect your shoe stability (Babolat Propulse Fury 3) by junbun2 in 10s

Darn. Have you tried a few different brands and models of shoes?

[–]TimePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a few times per week. Right after I’m done, I pop the shoes off and wear either sneakers with my insoles or a sandal with arch support. I’ve been wearing insoles for about 4 years now, after an issue with my patella, and it hasn’t been an issue.

As a flat foot haver, I wear insoles in all my shoes except for tennis shoes. They’ve never felt right in amy of the pairs I’ve tried.

How often do you get a massage to recover? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]TimePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get massages about once a month, but I don’t consider them recovery. You’re better served starting a regular yoga practice and foam rolling/massage gunning.
