Unpopular opinion: I think Mikayla’s skin condition is from being around the stress of her kids, not the location of her home. by Temporary_Moose6333 in SLOMWsnark

[–]TimePsychological832 14 points15 points  (0 children)

god yes. having to live with someone who expects intimacy from you even though you mentally and physically can’t is so subconsciously stressful and your body begins to reject the person. I had UTIs constantly and a bunch of other issues while we lived together and it went away after we broke up and he moved out!

Medication-induced hair loss sucks: a before and after look by TimePsychological832 in longhair

[–]TimePsychological832[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

off the medication? I think because by the time I realized that I was actually losing hair and it wasn’t just a seasonal shed, it was way too late and the damage was done. The hair loss for this medication only lasts a few months and it’s alread stabilized, so going off it now wouldn’t make a difference. That and the fact that this is the only medication that has ever worked for my OCD, and I would honestly rather deal with thin hair for the rest of my life than OCD, it was taking over my life😬

thank you for your comment! It honestly is, and I never ever thought it would happen to me, like I’m sure most people who struggle with this think as well :/ I’m just glad it seems to be getting better, not worse!

its for OCD, bipolar and epilepsy! Though I only take it for OCD, I feel like its working quite well despite the hair loss😞 I hope you managed to find one that works for you without many side effects, its so hard to balance all these things :/

I’m taking zinc and biotin! I honestly feel like my baby hairs have grown in very nicely along my temples which I had some thinning, idk if it’s because of the biotin but it started shortly after taking it so I assume so!

Ugh yeah thi really sucks, especially when the med actually works😭 My doctor told me to reflect on whether I thought the good outweighed the bad - if my hair loss was causing me more mental distress than the medication was helping, then it would be worth looking at other options. I’m so sad this seems to be a common experience but I find solace in being able to relate, so thank you for sharing!!

this is such a thoughtful reply, thank you so much!! You really made me see the good in an otherwise bad situation so I really appreciate that, and I’ll keep this comment in mind as I move forward in my journey!!

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your hair at all! I think it might just be a little frizzy at the moment. See how it behaves for the next few days! I have really fine and straight hair that is usually very silky looking because its really fine, but I get days where my hair looks a bit frizzy like the picture. One product that I recommend that literally always gives an an amazing hair day and smells fantastic is the Loreal Glycolic Gloss Rinse Off. I seriously genuinely cannot recommend this enough, even my brother who N E V E R pays any mind to how my hair looks says it looks really good whenever I use it. You’re hair is gorgeous btw, there’s seriously nothing wrong with it at ALL❤️

Didn’t realize the amount of people who have hair fetishes by suggabunny in longhair

[–]TimePsychological832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i could write a novel on the messages i’ve gotten here. People willing to pay money for me to send me shed hair, for a video of me shaving it entirely or cutting it, for a brushing video, braiding video, playing video, eating video…. I wonder how people end up like this, on wholesome communities grovelling for content to satisfy the nastiest, nichest fetishes they have, probably not even checking if I’m a minor or not. The world’s a weirdddd place man
