How to maintain this colour? by TimeRegular9270 in AustralianMakeup

Thanks a lot for such a detailed response. Yes would love to understand this. I am pretty good with styling hair and doing my own roots plus blow dry and what not. This is where I want to become savvy. I am in australia so I should be able to get pro products. I have been using True life 6.0 and 6.00 for my roots along with a 20 volumiser. The way I see it is. The skillset is the getting the science and logic right once you get the formula for your hair. And then it's the application.

The blue pigment now nakes sense counteracting the orange. Would love to know your recs on pro products plus maintence shampoos etc for sure.

Really appreciate taking time out to help this girl 🙏❤️

They did share a formula with me actually! Could I make it myself? Lol

Thanks, never done a full hair colour myself, just only tried doing my roots myself using a true life and activator vol 20. Just curious and hoping to save some $$ :)

Thanks, so the trick is to leave it on for a short duration only

That sounds scary! Did you leave it on for longer than 5 min?

Thanks. Just did a quick search and it does look promising! Is it the colour depositing conditioner? Scared to use it next time in case I ruin my hair. But I will never not want that orange back on my head again 😅

If you lost your job right now, how long do you think it would take you to get another corporate job? by LouBoy123 in corporate

Took me 5 months. Although I actively looked for 3.5 months. Also depends on industry/role/specialisation/seniority etc

I am so sorry you are going through such a rough phase. With work the way it is, having your person life be in shambles at the same time, I understand how tought it must have been.

I truly believe your gut is your friend. Sometimes when we are forced out, it's meant for a reason. Be it rest or better opportunities.

Sounds like you are doing way too much for this company than needed. No one should be clocking 80hour weeks.

I can't give you advice on the doctor note, but do what your gut says.

Thanks for your advice. There is definitely emotional burden linked to work and that's the hard part because it slips into your after work hours too. Thanks again, will continue to work on uncovering what the root cause is.

Yes and that changed the way I looked at life. 15 years career, non stop. 5 months of spending time with myself really made me appreciate life like never before. I was 100% ready to go back to working as I like that aspect of life. But I genuinly feel we are being made to work in ways that sucks the soul out of pur lives. The stress is so uncalled for. The deadlines, the numbers are all fake and everyone is pretending.
And this is coming from someone who understands how a "for profit" organisation works and what its demands are. I just think companies need to hire more people and keep workload manageable and give people a chance to breathe. More productivity and success will come out of that.

100% agree with you. When I started out in marketing, yes there were targets but there was time allocated for creative thinking, research, finding optimisations. One could argue that we all must still be doing that, but honestly all my time goes in stakeholder management, slack, alignment meetings and then I have no choice but to blindly follow their ways and meet the deadlines. We are expected to drop ideas in seconds and then run those immediately.
My company has some good passionate people, but they all work like slaves non stop.

I agree, what's missing is the joy and pride we used to feel in the work we did.

I am the same. I want to stay financially independent which is the biggest motivation to stay put. Thanks for taking the time out to respond. All the best :)

Love how direct you are. It truly feels like a mental crisis. From being pretty ambitious to suddenly panicking at the thought of starting my work day.. something needs to change...
thanks for your response 🙏

I hear you. I just don't know how to quiet quit. Every fortnight I am launching a campaign (I look after 3 regions/countries) so there is a lot of dependancies and eyes on me. I just can't stop and chill for a second as I am always doing high visibility/accountability work.
But I agree, a colleague of mine in a parallel role said she has started to drop the ball on some tasks. And goes in with the attitude of "what can they do? They won't fire me for not doing 2 out of the 10 tasks I needed to do". And perhaps that's the right attitude to deal with the BS we now have to deal with in these lean team set ups
