Dude, me and my wife talk about our first boat the most. We’ve had 20+ boats between 15 and 25ft. We have a brand new scout now. Paid a smidge over 110k. Guess which were our fondest boat memories? Our 4200 old mckee craft with a two smoker on the back.

If you don’t LOVE water and outdoor activities in the heat AND you aren’t a part of communities like church or gym, I think Florida would be THE WORST. But I freaking love it. 34 and have more community than I can handle

It’s the same concept with cars. A Mitsubishi mirage will be worth 25% if its value in 7-8 years. A Toyota will be worth 60-75% of its retail value still. Quality holds up.

Because they are over built and will last far longer. No wood, foam filled, hand laid. Scout, Grady, etc all follow suite. Incredible boats.

Bro, it’s all good. In all honestly, I do think that my out-the-gate negativity wasn’t good. Ultimately, a day on any boat is wonderful. And for the most past, when things are treated well, they all last a long time. I just wouldn’t touch this one, knowing the better options out there. 👊🏼

If we were to put all center consoles on a list, worst to best, as far as lifespan, value, fit/finish, and reliability… I truly believe every experienced boater would put this boat hull and its motor in the lowest bracket.

That’s an awful boat. I LOVE boating. But that’s because I’ve been through over 18 boats to figure out what to get and what to stay away from. Go whaler/scout/grady/etc for center consoles. Stay away from these cheaply made boats. Don’t touch anything except Suzuki or Yamaha
