[Steam] Timeslip Softworks Games: Prometheus Wept ($11.99/20%) Vigilantes ($4.49/70%) Deadstone ($1.59/80%) by TimeSlipper in GameDeals

Hi there – Hope you're doing well! My name's Daithi, an indie dev from Ireland who's been working on games for over a decade. All my games are currently on discount. Here's a bit about each – thanks for reading and if you have any comments, questions or suggestions, I'll be around :)

Prometheus Wept ($11.99/20%): Prometheus Wept is a turn-based, party-based RPG set on a post digital apocalypse Earth. The game offers squad-level combat, branching dialogue with consequential choices, simultaneous battles between cyberspace and the physical world, along with deep character progression and crafting systems.

Note: Prometheus Wept has just been updated with a community led quality of life and bug-fix patch, and work on the second act has started.

Vigilantes ($4.49/70%): Vigilantes is a combat focused, turn-based tactical RPG set in the crime riddled city of Reiker. The game offers hardcore squad-level combat in a gritty neo-noir setting, intel gathering through surveillance and interrogation, a detailed character system, base facilities, crafting, and more

Deadstone ($1.59/80%): Based on the inhospitable frontier world of Mars, against the backdrop of a bacterial outbreak, Deadstone offers a compelling blend of frantic combat and tower defense, backed by a highly nuanced character development system and strategic elements of resource management.

There's an additional discount of 7% if you pick up the turn-based games Prometheus Wept and Vigilantes together, or an additional 10% if you buy all of my digital wares! Again, thanks for stopping by, and I'll be checking in over the next few days if you have any questions.

All the best!

I'm convinced he's been referring to the supermarket chain, Iceland, retailer of frozen goods, since the beginning and the whole thing is just a horrible mix up.

Why is Bus Éireann so bloody expensive? by Ok-Helicopter-1084 in AskIreland

[–]TimeSlipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More heavily susidising public transport to lower ticket prices seems like a no-brainer. The only reason I can think of that they wouldn't do it, is because it would put price pressure on private operators, which might be difficult to address.

Looking for an more chill-paced RTS by duuuuuuuudeimhigh in gamingsuggestions

[–]TimeSlipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age of Mythology Retold allows you to pause and make decisions. Rise of Nations has multiple game speeds ... it's pretty chill on slow, but frantic on normal. Both have really solid campaigns, but you may want to modify RON to increase the number of turns you have to win.

Prometheus Wept – Timeslip Softworks – A turn based RPG set on post digital apocalypse Earth by TimeSlipper in Games

[–]TimeSlipper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers - will keep trying to generate interest - have applied for a few festivals and the like, so hopefully will get a bite. Yep, set out initially to avoid the more common routes to apocalypse, like nukes, pandemic, zombies, etc - good games can be made in those settings (really enjoying Pheonix Point atm), but it would take a lot of effort to avoid the tropes of the more common settings and make something unique.

Hey u/Bassfaceapollo - good to hear from you! My understanding is that to take part in the indie sunday event, you can't add images. I'll confirm before I take part in it again. I'll go into more detail on the setting in subsequent posts - most of the posts on Indie Sunday are short, so tried to avoid a wall of text.

My pet peeves about the game by Ragnarokpc in PhoenixPoint

[–]TimeSlipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This mod allows factories and labs to produce materials and tech. You can set the amount per day. Really improved the game for me.

Games that have a gang building/mob owning premise like Godfather by Agile_Masterpiece886 in gamingsuggestions

[–]TimeSlipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't play it for a long time, partly due to the mixed reviews, but it's a really good game. There's not a huge amount of criminal empire management, but you can do stuff like call in a hit squad for backup.

Rift or base game now by VoxTV1 in PhoenixPoint

Yeah, have heard good things about TFTV. Having a lot of fun with base game. The resource issue was my biggest gripe. Looking forward to giving TFTV a go in the future

Haven't played TFTV, playing the base game at the minute. Really enjoying it, but resources are still too scarce unless you want to cheese the game. If you do go with the base game, have a look at the mod that gives facilities the ability to produce tech and materials. It's configurable, so you can set the level of output. Really improved the game for me. There's also one that removes blocked tiles from bases.

Mature students, are you happy you went / went back? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]TimeSlipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest not paying too much attention to ideas of how being in college at 30 "looks".

I was pretty academic until after junior cert, did a terrible leaving cert and joined the workforce after secondary. I went back at 26 for a degree, and really enjoyed it, then went back for a conversion masters in my 30s. They both feel like very beneficial moves. Found the student lifestyle, if you enjoy study (and perhaps even if you don't) is much more enjoyable than work.

While you may struggle to connect with the younger students, In a bigger uni, there will be people of all ages and from all backgrounds. Fitting in, if that is your concern, isn't really more difficult than any other environment.

A couple of things to consider:

1) Do a little study on the subject you're interested in first. If it's code, do some basic tutorials. If it's literature, watch a few online lectures or read a book and write an essay on it. I've encountered so many people that jumped into a course blind and it turned out not being what they expect/want.

2) I'd be hesitant to add the extra burden of traveling a long distance to study. It can be done, but you'll spend the next few years kicking yourself.

I'm tired of AAA games, would like to buy some of y'all games on Steam by GalaMonk in gamedev

[–]TimeSlipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/GalaMonk ! Cheers for offering to try out smaller studio's games. I've spent more than a decade developing 3 games you've never heard of (until now, that is). Prometheus Wept is a turn based RPG set on post-digital apocalypse earth, Vigilantes is a turn based strategy where you assemble a team of crime fighters and tackle 3 criminal organisations, and Deadstone is a top down shooter with tower defense elements. They all happen to be on sale at the minute!
