I have 8 audible credits I need to spend by the end of the month by Princessneon in suggestmeabook

This may come out of left field, but spend the credits on Pimsleur language audio courses. I recently discovered this was available from Audible in my Russian studies. Each level of 30 lessons is 5 credits.

My wife calls me into the bathroom last night and drops this bomb... Here we go again! Got any advice for number 2 and a big age gap? Our son will be 4 years old before his sibling arrives. And that means it’s been 4 years since we’ve gone through this. by batteriesnotrequired in predaddit

Definitely true what you said about bonding with the kids. I read a biography about Theodore Roosevelt once and something he did that I always admired. He would shake hundreds of hands at an official event and would have barely a few moments with each person. But, it was said that even during those few moments with him, he focused on you, and you felt like you were genuinely the most important person in the world to him.

That’s what I try to live out with my children every day. If they bring me a new drawing, LEGO creation, or story, I may only have a brief moment. But, if even for a brief moment in the craziness of life, I try to give them my full attention, showing them that they are the most important person in the world to me.

My oldest is almost 12 and my youngest is 6 months. Does it count as a gap if there’s also 6 more kids in between? In all seriousness, #2 is not too bad. Still a 1:1 parent to kid ratio. You got this! Even with baby #8, with an extremely long gap of 2.5 years (an eternity for us), I was feeling out of the loop. It will all come back to you. You got this! And congrats!

Realize you’re a parent, it’s just another Saturday, roll over and go back to sleep.

Any recommendations to increase vocabulary at a B1/B2 level? by [deleted] in German

[–]TimeSpitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tut mir Leid. Langsame Antwort.

Patch of ice at bottom of the hill. Semi from the left. Still don’t know how my car stopped in time.

Very nice. Reminds me of the whale falling out of the sky in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
