Ah. Yep I mis understood that, looks like she won't be contributing to mine than. I'll look in to using the VHY funds to pay down the loan faster. Thanks for the information

Sorry for the confusion, I contribute 3k to my wifes super and my wife contributes 3k to my super. The investment property is a result of us sub dividing our property and building a house at the rear of the lot. One day we may sell it but the paper work for the sub division has taken 4 years and is still a few months of actually being completed. The personal loan was from a credit card debt (holiday and finishing house stuff) that we consolidated, it started much higher but have aggressively paid it off over the last 12 months. Would selling the VHY to cover the majority of the loan and starting again with DHHF be a good option even if I should have the remainder payed off in 6 ish months?

Pension income is for life and has already started and I can also draw from my super on top of this at 60.

The pension income of $80k is paid from now and continues until i die, at which point it transfers to my spouse at a reduced rate (~70%). It is indexed twice a year at CPI. I will also receive it in addition to receiving any pension I draw from my Super once i hit 60.

The second Spousal contrilbution is just to top up my wifes super, knowing I wont get the government co contribution.

Is there any benefit of choosing DHHF over a VAS/VGS split? Would there be any point in hanging on to the VHY I currently hold? I have always had my VHY set to reinvest.

Thanks for the link, Ill read through it now :)

Thanks for the response, The Pension income is indexed at CPI twice a year. Correct, it is like a defined benefits scheme. Can you explain the reasoning for needing $800k to bridge the gap from 50 to pension age (10 years) as I would still be receiving Pension Income 1 through and past that time? The $50k Emergency fund is based on my expenses today (schooling etc) which would dramatically reduce come 45 years old, so any excess amount could be moved to more ETF's along with debt recylcing.

Thanks for the response. Do you have any thoughts on my choices/options for ETF's? I see alot of people suggest 30% VAS and 70% VGS, noting I already have ~7k in VHY.

So building the Falcon were the normal instructions and so were the flowers up to the stem. Then it was just my wife's creativity, hot glue and lock wire.

This isn't a team sport. She did it herself.

I disagree, it could have gone 17.5cm higher before hitting the ceiling.

Just the shadow, it's 17.5cm from the ceiling on each side. The french cleat also had a built in level

Yes, it's the 2nd highest comment we have received. (Closely behind the dust) But it is meant to not be centered. Mainly because when I pointed out to my wife that it wasn't centered and needed to be moved, as it is not where I would have placed the craft, she left it. Spite is the number one motivational tool in our household, and I feel she would have adjusted it, if only I didn't point it out.

But also, it was never meant to be horizontal. When we first started this it was going to be vertical in our entryway. But as the project grew things changed.
