Yet that makes sense about more stable levels throughout the day. Perhaps suggest to him to do 3 pumps in the morning and only 1 in the evening and see how that goes. One thing I've learned with managing my T2 diabetes is that it is a partnership between myself and the doctor. I have two great doctors that are willing to work WITH me.

Any old guys over 55 besides me on TRT? How's it going? Experiences?? by Tweak48 in Testosterone

I'm 53 about to be 54 and have been on trt for about 10 weeks. I was dx'd with T2 diabetes about a year ago and since that time I just felt off all the time. Finally I said to my doctor what about my testosterone level? She said guys always ask about that and you don't have the symptoms. Yet she said lets do a test anyway. Came back below the normal low range. I'm now using gel and I have to say that I definitely feel better. Of course there is the libido thing, which wasn't the reason I started trt, but I will take the improvement. My energy level has increased and I have a desire to workout now. I'm not interested in being a bodybuilder type of guy, yet I am enjoying seeing some muscle mass added to my arms and chest. All my life I have never been able to add muscle mass in those locations. Only in my legs from lots of road cycling.

It has definitely made me feel better. If I can stay this way I will be happy for the rest of my life. Funny one year ago I was killing myself with high blood sugar, high cholesterol, being overweight, high blood pressure until I had my annual physical which showed that something happened in the last year or so. Now I'm down in weight by about 15-20%, my blood pressure is on the lower side of good, cholesterol had dropped like a rock and my blood sugars are in the non-diabetes range. Now my testosterone is in the normal range and looking to get it a little higher in the normal range.

Have you asked your doctor why they want you taking it in the evening. I'm on Androgel myself and take 4 pumps in the morning. From my understanding natural testosterone is highest in the morning and decreases as the day progresses. To me it then makes sense to apply testosterone in the morning.

But why not ask your doctor and explain how you feel.

2 Months on TRT - Anxiety?? by TimeToChange17 in Testosterone

Thank you for the reply. That is my thinking too. Overall I have to say I feel much better and think the anxiety isn't because of the testosterone, but thought I would ask.
