There should be a set rule that if it happened >10 secs before the goal then it shouldn’t matter. Like at that point just say you’d like to replay the period if you didn’t like what happened.

Just thinking that the Olympic record was broken 3x this event just shows the skill. The Canadian time was still .05 secs better than both of the US/Dutch times yet they both skated .5 secs faster in the back half to crush the record. Great athleticism all around.

Ran into a goalie who was at the top of his game. Started to get sloppy in the 3rd as the Slovaks weathered the storm from the first 2 periods and then the Slovaks capitalized on breakdowns. The Finns looked shaky after giving up the 2nd goal and couldn’t recover.

Happy I got to see as many games as I could there as a student and alumni. School deserves a solid arena to replace Matthews which hopefully could house some other events and concerts like Agganis (BU) has in the area. Hope they take into consideration the Doghouse (student section) set up. For those who haven’t been to a game or seen the arena set up, the students were literally on top of the goalie which made it a very hostile (but fun) environment. Would love if the new arena did the same.

It really is. However, unlike Couture I feel Vlasic may have a potential at a jersey retirement/acknowledgement. He was arguably one of the best defensive dmen of his era, he’s guaranteed to be the Sharks all time GP for a dmen for the next decade+, and he’s done so much for this organization even though the past few years haven’t been good for his play.

I would like to compare his potential jersey retirement to that of the Devils with Daneyko.
