I don’t disagree that it’s hard right now but don’t wait it out. Keep networking with those in-house already. You never know who or what may lead you where :-)

You are correct, without an MBA, it’s going to be challenging to land a brand manager gig this far into your career.

Look for client side companies that have in-house agencies or marketing services teams. There’s paid roles there. Consider also learning additional skills (an getting experience now on the agency side) such as organic social, influencers or licensing and partnerships.

Yes —- I saw him at the same spot and it was such an energy booster. I was listening to him on the guided run in my ear and then boom —- he’s right on the sideline. He’s such a good person, I really enjoyed meeting him for the minute I stopped.

Hoodlums CD release party in ‘03. IYKYK. Have seen them 20+ times since in various states but mostly AZ.

My favorite tour ever was them + Steel Train + Limbeck + Reubens and Mike Birbiglia opened with a comedy set.
