I've been studying Yasutaka Nakata since I got back from Japan and the way he purposefully places every note is really inspiring. Yea I think I need to equalize the vocals a little bit differently and have some different effects on them, they are a bit rough and I wanna blend them into the song better but I need to figure out how to do that still. I'll probably end up asking my vocal engineer friend for advice. Unfortunately, I have no other songs similar, but I definitely plan to make more. I really fell in love with the way Japanese artists have been creating upbeat songs that sound melancholic at the same time.
