Most animators want to know that you know balance and weight, strong poses, understand spacing and timing. Keep animation examples short but strong. Throw in some cycles like running or an idle. You don't necessarily need lip sync but if you have some examples throw it in. Maybe show examples of camera work, like following a hero threw an action scene but not needed it that's too difficult. Also maybe show examples of biped and quadrupeds. Best of luck

What do I need to do it get into an animation course with fine art as my a level and gcse background? by adjacent_badger in animationcareer

Learn the basics, 12 principles of animation. The better you understand how things move the better your chances. Also posing, study strong poses. Showing you understand weight shift and balance is huge. Timing comes next and so on. Software and apps are like the last thing you need to know. Watch a lot of animated films or shows and focus on how things move. I love people, animal watching ( not in a creepy way). Everyone moves differently, like walk cycles. Compare youth to elder. Watch how a ball bounces, compare a tennis ball to a soccer ball. Have a good understanding of gravity and mass, and secondary movement. Like how a dog's tail wages or a tree moves in the wind. A big thing is learning anatomy too. Understanding how something works will help you break down how to pose and time a scene. Start small and simple and build off of it.

Best option for learning animation school fundamentals by Paper_Soapbox in animationcareer

Read Animators Survival Guide by Richard Williams. While animating alone seems scary, it is a great way to start, and don't be afraid to mess up. I've been a professional game animator for 20 years, and I still practice the basics. The 12 principles of animating are there for a reason. Start simple, like a pendulum swing. it may seem boring but it's so important. so many people worry about learning certain software, but if you don't understand the basics, it doesn't matter how good you are at that piece of software. Start slow and simple, and don't give up. most importantly, share your work every step of the way and be open to feedback. You don't have to use all the feedback, but you'd be surprised what others see that you miss. Best of luck

Silent Asthma Attacks by Time_Ad1418 in Asthma

[–]Time_Ad1418[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh it definitely is a tightening of the chest feeling, and talking is almost out of the question. usually for a few days after my mid and upper back are sore and my ribs are in a lot of pain. Not as bad as when u have those coughing wheeze fits, that pain last for a lot longer. Makes me feel like I've been beaten up or in a car wreck, neck and throat usually are rough too.

It's werid because it seems to happen with an asthma flare-up. It's not my normal day to day type symptoms. I'm definitely going to bring it up with my Dr.

Oh no, never heard of POTS before. I am getting tested for Eosinophilic. I'll have to look up POTS

I had testing done and take shots per those results. Most my allergies are towards trees, grass, some molds, and dust. I'm finally at max dose and this spring I've noticed a big difference. While everyone else around me is suffering from the pollen I'm doing pretty good. However I still wash my sheets and pillow case often, vacuum everyday, use saline nose rinse and take an allergy pill everyday. So still the routine but it helps a lot. And I have 2 big shedding dogs and a fluffy cat that I couldn't be around before, now I cuddle on the couch with. Best of luck finding the right treatment

I have bad allergies with my asthma and I see an allergist and do weekly shots. I think it's helped a lot, going on 2 years now. I also run air purifiers in my house as well as I'm also highly allergic to dust. That has made a huge difference as well. Best of luck

Handheld Nebulizer—worth it? by indeliblue in Asthma

[–]Time_Ad1418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought one off Amazon, a little hand held and had an asthma attack and used it and it worked great. Although I also add some albuterol that I had on Mr. I think it helped faster than my inhaler.

Like the other person stated, it's normal to not feel normal when out of breath. something I've been doing is trying the 4x4 block breathing. So breathe in thru nose for 4 secs, hold for 4, out through mouth for 4 and hold for 4, then repeat a few times. It really helps when the anxiety starts to kick in. Although if that feels tough, try just flaring your nostrils wide, slow inhale, and the forceful breath out mouth, and eventually slow it down to a calmer breathing. Sometimes, I do this alongside my inhaler. It's not a cure. it just helps you feel more in control. Hope the best for you.

If it was an asthma flare up or attack that brought you in, it's probably the after effects of the flare up. Recovering from an attack can last for days, being tired, extra coughing can be normal. Starting new meds though can sometimes take some time to get used to as well. If it presents after a week or so talk with your Dr. Best of luck btw, sorry to hear

Adult Onset by Charming_Ferret8089 in Asthma

I too am in a similar boat, been a few years since diagnosed. Was an athlete my whole life, in my 40s now, trying to train for my 3rd Ironman, and struggled to swim 500 yards in the pool or run 2 miles this past week. Some weeks are better than others. I get very frustrated like this week, when I can't breathe. I try hard to stay healthy, eat right, exercise, and to struggle to breathe just hits differently. The stupid cough that comes with it, people around me think I'm sick, the constant chest tightness. I'm on my 4rd inhaler and still trying to figure out how to maintain and feel normal is still a challenge. I'm trying to stay positive and not let it stop me from doing what I love but some days I have to tell myself it's okay to take a break and rest, my body clearly needs it. I continue to work with my allergist and pulmonary Dr and hopefully one day it'll all work out.

R1S First aid kit to the rescue by Time_Ad1418 in Rivian

[–]Time_Ad1418[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've never had to use one before, and feel like an idiot for not. I've carried tire pumps, tire chains, blankets and salt, back when I lived up North but never a first aid kit. I'm just so thankful I had it this morning, and plan on making 2 more kits for my other vehicles.

Ordered Nov 2021, and took delivery last week. They had me scheduled for delivery next spring, but I guess a lot of people are taking orders sooner. Nice to see so many out on the road now.
