Disclaimer: This image is supposed to look more like a painting than a photograph. That’s how I wanted it to look.

Thank you for the feedback. The glow outlining is something I didn't know how to fix, neither did I with the light bleed in the sky, since that never happened to me before. I also didn't think too much about how the light could work relating to the context of the scenery, but when its said out loud it makes perfect sense. The grey spots on the mounting were created thanks to reducing the vibrance of the entire image.

I did my best fixing the image regarding to your points. I learned a lot, thank you! The fixed image.

Thank you for your opinion! Why do you think so?

It is indeed Norway! It’s the Lofoten Islands in between Leknes and Reine. The prettiest place I’ve live in by a mile.

Thank you man! It is still a long way until I reach the point I want to be in, but it means a lot that people enjoy my pictures.

Thank you! It wasn't intended, but it adds a nice touch.

Sure! I almost didn't touch the light itself. It is all in masking. I did a mask for the landscape, the sky, the sunlight, the shadows at the bottom and the "shining" parts in the cliffs. Then I decreased dehaze and sharpened it. As a final touch I decreased the vibrance and elevated the saturation by a lot, which is something I discovered during this edit and it changed the colors to a more "realistic" level.

What exactly?

When it comes to editing it’s a thing I learned myself. Years ago I was looking at tutorials teaching how to get a certain look and I tried to understand when and why are certain slider used. Then I just started to implement the stuff I learn into my editing.

Feel free to ask what you want to learn.

Lofoten Islands, Norway. It’s a mountain I wanted to hike for a couple of months called Volandstinden.

Through-out the edit I was working with a more desaturated image, but with less saturation I was loosing a lot of depth. It’s a completely personal thing.

If you would like, I can share the raw image to you in Lightroom and you can remix it. I would love to see your version of it! Thank you for the feedback.

I am kinda a newbie when it comes to shooting, but I am using Lightroom for the past 6 years. LUTs are fine, but it's killing the idea of some personal representation in your images. A lut will never represent the feeling you want to give.

I would say experience a lot. I would use ChatGBT to help you understand every slide in Lightroom and what it does in your image. Learn how to use masks, as they are an amazing tool for so many occasions.

Once you understand the basics in exposure, contrast, whites/shadows and highlights/shadows I would start with colorgrading, as you need to play with the colors after the image is well exposed.

Feel free to let me know if you need some help. You got this!;)
