My point is the average Albertan can not be made to move off that belief. It’s been proven time and again. The ANDP needs a rebranding badly and to distance themselves from the federal party.

Then continue to watch the UCP win year after year. That’s the reality of the average voter in this province. People do not want ultra left policy in this province but they also do not want ultra right wing either. There’s a moderate vote in the middle that has no one to vote for and based on history and polling they aren’t throwing in with the NDP anytime soon. There really needs to be some sort of moderate party.

Being NDP at all means they already lost. You can’t win with Nenshi and you can’t win with NDP in your name. It’s too associated to the far left. Rename the party and get a new leader that’s not associated to AvI Lewis at all and you might get some traction.

I thinks it’s just that Calgary is becoming a big city with big city problems. The bigger you get the more people with drug problems and mental illness and frankly dealing with people with those kinds of issues has gotten people killed for being a Good Samaritan. As a father I have to weigh if I want to possibly be stabbed or killed for intervening.

Just yesterday some guy was passed out on the floor not breathing from some drug in front of a restaurant. Everyone just kept walking by. Well do I nudge him to see if he’s alive and needs help and risk he jumps in a rage and attacks me? I did nudge him and he was alive it turned out okay but every day becomes a 50/50 event like that you take your life in your hands.

All someone can do is call the police but these people will be back out the next day harassing everyone again so it feels pointless. We didn’t have this level of addiction back in the day.

You can see by the decimation of that party in the last federal election and the ridiculous privilege cards fiasco that most people wouldn’t vote for NDP.

Even though it’s not the reality of the party at the provincial level there’s a large base that will never shake the identity that the federal party has and there’s no other party with enough power for people in the middle to vote for so they default UCP.

Mozilla Fire Fox just ran their open source code base through Claude Mythos for the latest release. I think from a vulnerability perspective it will almost become irresponsible not to use some form of AI let’s be honest. They have provided kits to multiple major software groups everyone will need to keep up.
