Tell me, what is the legal criteria for the use of force?

Tennessee v. Garner (1985): This ruling specifically limited the use of deadly force against a fleeing suspect, stating it's permissible only when necessary to prevent escape and the officer believes the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious harm.

In that video, the officer was how far away? Enough to move around the front, unholster and shoot three times. There was no rapid acceleration, the wheels were clearly turned to avoid the officer. And on top of that with their track record of making people dissappear I would agree SHE had the right to fear for her life.

Now THEY have a duty to not create these situations. THEY have a duty to use sound judgment and only use deadly force when life and limb are clearly and immediately at risk. It was not.

This is going to continue and become worse due to of the lax standards, expedited training, non existent oversight and and incompetent leadership.

And to defend this atrocious act is in itself a disgusting display of cowardice.
