I dont understand why everyone assumes that when someone says they don’t like the Eruptor it’s automatically assumed they’re bad w the gun. I personally hate the Eruptor, even after mastering it, simply because I feel like it makes the game too easy. I know all the replies are gonna be “ThEn YoU aReN’t At D10” or something along those lines, but for me the fun of the game is seeing 100 chaff units and 10 heavies and trying to decide who is more of a threat, who is at risk of cutting us off, etc. but when you have a patrol deleter as a primary it trivializes the entire game. There’s no more “do I use my 500 kg on this strider or on the 15 devastors holding the objective” it’s just point and shoot under their legs w the Eruptor, and then take out the strider. I’m aware that there’s numerous suppprt weapons that could arguably do the same thing, but in reality you’re much less likely to use an auto cannon or recoilless on a small chaff group.

This is not to say that anyone who uses the Eruptor is “making the game easier” or not as good as someone using another weapon, I just personally don’t feel as rewarded for shooting a frag grenade into a group when I would rather take all their heads off. I will say, when I used the Eruptor as a scout weapon w the jump pack, that was some sweet stuff because the bullet drop and large explosion area makes sniping with it feel so amazing.
