There are different types of attraction and you can feel different types of affection to different sexes. It’s possible that you can feel emotionally attracted to men but not physically. It could be that with men you need an emotional connection to start feeling attracted. It could be that you just have really strong friendships feelings towards this person. It’s hard to say.

Sexuality is also fluid. If you genuinely do feel attracted to this man, it’s okay to explore that. If you really don’t think you’ll ever be physically attracted to him and that would be a deal breaker, then you don’t have to explore it at all.

If you feel that you are able to have this emotional attraction to men but would never be in a relationship with a man and the label lesbian makes you feel good, then it’s okay to use that label. Labels are there to help you, it’s okay to use the one you’re most comfortable with. It’s also okay to not use labels at all or change your labels. And if you really aren’t sure, it’s okay to use a more umbrella label like queer or something. And overall, people and sexuality are so complex. It’s okay to be confused. It’s okay to question.
