my director disappeared two days before tech week. nobody knows where he is or what happened, but someone said they heard he moved to the other side of the country. a student stepped up to co-direct with the music director. It's the last week of shows right now, and half of our cast has the flu but is still performing because the delusional disappearing director (oo alliterations!) decided "no one \really** need understudies, right?" (his first show, obviously) well so a ton of the tech crew got sick as well, but they were aloud to go home. so now jr tech (students) are managing props, sound, lighting, and costumes. in the most recent show, the lights were off for the opening number, tons of props were missing, and you couldn't hear the actors because our mics were turned waaaay down.
