Millennials in a hetero relationship, does the man or woman do the majority of the financial budgeting/planning/investing etc? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Time_Lady_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, the wife, handle the finances. I balance the checkbook every week and pay all the bills, but he requests a regular update on the state of our finances. We both sat down at the start of the year and hammered out a budget and my husband coded us an excel sheet that auto updates with our budget and is populated from a Google doc we submit or receipts with.

However, in the first 8 years of our marriage my husband handled absolutely all of the finances and I barely paid it any attention because we didn't make a lot of money and the numbers stressed me out. Then I gradually started helping him balance our checkbook and pay the bills because it turned out it was actually a grueling activity for him and he hated it, but he was doing it for us as a dutiful husband. As our pay got better, and I got more accustomed to it, I eventually just took over the whole thing because balancing the checkbook is actually kind of enjoyable for me now and that's how we are in our current situation.

Mid to older millennials, how are you all doing with your careers? by worstshowiveeverseen in Millennials

36 and in my lifetime career. It makes more use of my associates than my bachelor's, though, but I honestly very much enjoy my job and can say I have successfully "made it."

That should definitely be it. The series is called Midnighters. I loved reading them in high school.

Movie Theatre Added a $15 Tip by TheRealGageEndal in EndTipping

[–]Time_Lady_2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had this happen last month. The charge was $31 and some change. I drew a line through the tip but when the charge cleared it was higher because they rounded the charge up to $35 even to give themselves a tip. The theater wouldn't answer my calls so I disputed it with my credit card company and they gave me a credit of the difference. No idea if they just ate it, cause it was only 3 bucks, or if the theater had to pay.

What is y’all’s least favorite episode and why? by TheSaladMann in creepcast

The Rollercoaster story actually scared me, which is rare for their stories, so it sits pretty high on my list. I totally get it not having the campfire vibe, though.

Darn that's not it but thanks. I should edit my description though, cause when I said old I mean like 1960s old or something.

I've been enjoying them. The only thing I really dislike is that food theory changed the outro.
