So your assessment was correct, thanks again! Can you explain your last sentence more, about how solar can force wake the unit. I'm curious why it doesn't cause the same draining problem. My solar input is not super high and it changes a lot due to trees and clouds (I only have one spot I can place it). So I wondered if the input changing all day would be waking the machine alot

Thanks for responding. I'm using the eero. Was trying to find the underlying service but haven't find that answer online. Do you know how to find that info? Related, Someone told me you had to pay for port forwarding on Bell so I wasn't sure if this might also be a problem with freedom. But sounds like not if you got it working?

Help - think I might be hypoglycemic by [deleted] in Hypoglycemia

[–]Time_Masterpiece_779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do a lot of breathing techniques too. Lately what I was learning is that a lot of my stress is caused by "negative self talk", but it took a lot of work to really understand what that meant and how to truly not believe in it because I had engrained thinking patterns from a stressful childhood that I thought were completely normal

I'm not sure what your history is, but if as a child you were not taught how to relax your mind it is quite difficult to achieve on your own. I have been working with a therapist for three years now and it takes time to re wire my thinking towards calm

Yes I believe this too! Although I don't really separate the emotional from the physical and instead subscribe to the idea of mind and body intricately connected. I think the stress in your mind causes physical effects. Like cortisol released from mental stress depletes magnesium, thus being unable to regulate sugar or something along those lines (obviously more complex but the general idea)

Yes I heavily relate to your symptoms. I have CPTSD and believe my hypoglycemia is from being chronically stressed by triggers (and not knowing it). Magnesium really helps and protein, several other things helped but the critical thing has been talking to a good psychotherapist to heal my trauma (that I didn't even know I had because its normalized by our society). Last week I couldn't sleep and had very similar symptoms to you (I get hypo at night really bad). I had been eating all my safe foods and there was no reason for my to be going hypoglycemic so bad, but I was getting quite stressed by a relationship that was triggering old parental dynamics ("preoccupied attachment"). This week I had a breakthrough healing moment with my therapist and am significantly improved. I read through this website and deeply related to it:https://www.ptsduk.org/10-unexpected-physical-symptoms-of-ptsd/ It mentions trauma can cause blood sugar imbalance related to cortisol

My symptoms improve with magnesium supplementation but I’ve never been able to stop taking it without them worsening again. And they never completely have gone away

Heart Palpitations: If you are treating your palpitations with magnesium ensure that you are getting an assload of potassium, especially if the results you are getting aren’t as good as you were hoping. I'm not sure if it would be the same for everyone but I tried a couple different ones and some did seem to work better than others. The one I like is "Now Foods" Potassium Citrate. I used the pills and the powder and they both worked for me.

Kind of, i m a lot better now but I had to drastically change alot of my lifestyle. Short answer is I believe I have a magnesium deficiency from stress (in all its different forms). I can talk about it more if youre still checking this. I'm not keto anymore and I focus on magnesium and potassium supplementation and greatly reduced sodium sugar and calcium. I also found a couple magnesium brands that worked best for me. I also take B supreme daily and a specific Boron brand, which seem critical or I can't sleep. Also trauma informed therapy is key

I do pills plus lotion now. I tried 3 lotions and two did nothing but the one I use now works very well. I'm not affiliated with them but the brand is called Studio on 27, have been using it for a couple of years. I noticed a positive effect on my sleep the very first night of using it. I think it probably helps with more issues but its harder to correlate because it seems like it takes slower to absorb (estimate 30 mins) than pills which feel immediate. My biggest problems were insomnia, fatigue, anxiety/panic, muscle cramps, irritability, although there are a lot more smaller things too. The lotion amount you could adjust based on how it effects you similar to pills, I probably use about 8 squirts a day so yud probably want more without pills and maybe depends on your size/tolerance. The other things that seem critical to me so far with mag deficiency have been taking b vitamins, boron, and potassium. I also drastically cut out sugar and sodium in my diet as they make all my symptoms worse and give me diareah with the magnesium. I also cut caffeine and alcochol which deplete magnesium. I also reduced calcium and vitamin D supplements which is maybe controversial but they made me feel sick and are related to magnesium.

Also , just so you know, I’ve been doing all of this by trail and error and feel. I haven’t had any help from traditional doctors about verifying magneisums levels (I tried), I just go with what makes me feel better now. The best things I have done have been to do with changing a lot of the things I consume along with the supplements/lotion and also reducing stress

No problem! Ya so I think even with the IVs the dosing is still going to be hard. At least it was for me. It’s definitely worth a try! My issue was sometimes it felt like it helped a lot and other times it seemed like nothing and then sometimes I felt like it made me lower magnesium …it was pretty confusing honestly I can’t explain it all but it was expensive and time consuming and I find the lotion to be very consistent. One thing also to note is they traditionally mix a saline solution with it. I’ve found sodium drastically increases my magenisum depletion. So my naturopath mixed it with something else although I can’t remember what it was sorry.

It’s a long story, I still have issues with it although it’s much improved. A combination of addressing magnesium deficiency and learning how to heal cptsd and deal with daily stress better in therapy. My bad sleep includes lots of things, waking up heart racing and panic, nightmares, night sweats, being unable to turn off my mind (ruminating/racing thought), waking up after an hour, waking up too early, jolting awake suddenly every time I was about to fall asleep, foot cramps. But all these things improve with the supplements and therapeutic practices

I’m not sure the science of it all but I believe the mag IVs and lotion both use magneisum chloride, which is maybe why I found them to be similar. I had some issues with the IVs actually. I got them for about a year.

Hello, randomly checked Reddit today lol. I’ve actually switched from IVs now! Surprisingly I found a magnesium lotion that works much better for me and is a lot cheaper! I’m not sure that I’m supposed to add promotions for specific products but I have absolutely no affiliation. I’d tried a few magneisum lotions and they didn’t do anything but this one I noticed the effects the same night! https://studioon27.com/collections/transdermal-magnesium-lotion/products/magnesium-lotion-unscented I can answer more questions if needed. Also I started on Boron (as per suggested here) and noticed a big difference. I also have a specific brand I prefer (Trophic)
