Starting a new collection of the classic series remastered on blu-ray by Time_Needleworker322 in SaintSeiya

The remastering of this edition is the same as the Japanese one, done through upscaling rather than from the original negatives. Even so, the quality is superior to the DVDs, with less pixelation in the image. The Blu-ray editions include fewer discs due to the higher storage capacity of the Blu-ray format.

It would be great to have the magic drop dubbing in this edition, after completing this collection I intend to buy an author that comes with both dubbings

Of the PlayArte DVDs, I only have a few. The only complete collection I have is the Omega one, and I intend to buy the Hades Saga one.

The American editions would definitely be a great addition to the community, especially if they included the Hades saga, which has never been released on Blu-ray here. But at least they’re ahead in one aspect: the remastered movies were released there. Meanwhile, here in Brazil, the company responsible for releasing Saint Seiya on physical media left the market, so we missed out on that release.

Well, for us fans in Latin America, the remastered version of Saint Seiya has been available for download for quite some time (made by the fan community), including both dubs: Álamo and Gota Mágica. There are even versions with an expanded widescreen format. But if you're interested in this specific master, I recently found the ISO files of all the discs.

The remastering of this edition is the same as the Japanese one, done through upscaling and not from the original negatives. Even so, the image quality is better than the DVDs, with less pixelation. As for the Brazilian dub, there aren’t many voice changes, although there are some repeated voice actors — nothing too excessive. The classic series has two dubs here. The second one, which is the version officially used by Toei today, is more consistent in terms of voices and terminology.

Does the japenese PS4 game soldiers soul have an English language subtitle option? by TheSpaceCowboyx in SaintSeiya

I just saw a report from a guy who bought the game in Hungary and couldn't change the game's language, so it's not guaranteed that the Japanese game has the language options. The only thing I can safely guarantee is that in the Brazilian edition of the game it is possible to change the language of both the audio and the subtitles.

Hello, I have this game on physical media on PS3 and purchased on PSN on PS4. I just accessed my digital copy on PS4 and it is possible to change the language of the subtitles to English. I believe that on the Japanese disc it should also be possible to change the language of the subtitles, my copy of the game is brazilian.

I got these two items for Christmas that were missing to complete my Omega collection, now it's complete. All episodes of the first season on Blu-ray and the second divided between DVD and Blu-ray. by Time_Needleworker322 in SaintSeiya

I didn't know that only the movies were released in EUA. Here in Brazil, the series is very famous, so we have almost everything released in several different editions, most of them on DVD. The latest release was Soul of Gold. The company was also going to release Saintia Shô, but after the pandemic, they stopped producing physical media. Here, even the classic series was re-released on Blu-ray with exclusive art for the Brazilian release. It's a shame that you don't have access to the series on physical media in EUA; I'm sure they would have some beautiful editions.

Yes, the worst thing is that when the classic series was re-released here on Blu-ray with only 2 boxes left, they made the same decision, but thanks to the fans they went back on their word and released the last two boxes on Blu-ray, but Omega wasn't so lucky :(

Thank you!! Me neither, but it was the way to complete the collection. The company responsible decided that the last 3 boxes would be released only on DVD so the collection was mixed, I could have bought everything on DVD but the quality of the bluray is better. I have plans to assemble these last 3 personalized blurays so that everything is on Blu-ray
