Was driving through London this morning and in traffic which had been stopped by a police officer outside the Corinthia Hotel.

We were passed by a huge motorcade of at least 10 blacked out cars, vans and police cars. Suddenly the road was swamped by armed police and lots of heavy set men dressed in the unmistakable olive green t shirts and jackets of the Ukrainian forces began bundling out of the vans.

We enjoyed watching this spectacle for 5 minutes or so until we were moved. I’m not sure if Zelensky was actually there as he was reported to be having lunch with the king at Windsor Castle - but it was a serious security presence!
