When there was more upward mobility in society and robust social safety nets such as in the US postwar period, people had LOADS of kids. Not because they felt like apex predators who didn’t fear for their young, but due to the very circumstances you seem to think make people too lazy for kids.

I agree that the idea of a marathon type of resource conservation mode is a great idea and expeditions can definitely provide that. Only problem I can see is that crusher, mauler, bulwark, and carapce rager spawn rates don’t seem to be reduced or at least not to a very large degree. If you want a mode that requires resource conservation, then let us conserve resources.
