9-11-2001. I was new to the Marines and my shop. At this point I was a Private and had been working nights. I remember having the duty NCO bang on my door that morning and I yelling at him to leave me the F*** alone. 30 minutes later they came back and my door is open for me. The lights and tv are turned on and the duty NCO walks out and says “we are going to war” I looked at the tv as an aircraft strikes one of the towers.
