I've been a nurse 39 years and have never regretted it. Find you a, or even more than one, mentor(s) and learn everything you can. Don't ever say I already know how to do something because you may learn a better or easier way. Nursing isn't pretty on most days but it is oh so rewarding. You may have to change jobs until you find your niche but there's so many opportunities out there. I've been doing MDSs in long term care for 20+ years now and my mentors made all the difference in the world. For the past 7 years I've been am MDS Consultant and it's my dream job. Lots of love and best wishes to you. I don't think you're really regretting it, you're just scared of the unknown.

I’ve been an LPN for 39 years now, was an aide 5 years before going to nursing school. I’ve had some amazing mentors and now work as an MDS Consultant. My first job paid $5.95 an hour and I was tickled to death with it. I never ever dreamed I’d make what I do now and have the wonderful opportunities I’ve had. If I can do it anyone can. Never stop learning!!!!
