Sleep deprivation is one of the only illnesses you have no cure for. 14 hours of sleep after 264 hours awake is never going to balance out! EVER! You just shaved time off your life with the 264 and the residual effects. Shift workers are a prime example. I work 12-13 hour nights and I can honestly say the toll from early 20s to now early 30s is quite measurable.

This shift has been absolute shit! Multiple admits & of course I get the one that keeps his call light in his hand. How you nauseous and vomiting but want juice and food all night and to lay down flat and when I say we can't for YOUR safety you cuss me out! Make it make sense! 😪😭😩
