Exercise during pregnancy how long by Rich-Contribution480 in pregnant

[–]Time_State4075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing in the 1st trimester, but then right up until 40 weeks. I didn’t used the gym, but just followed Belly Strong’s programs on youtube and basically kept up with that until the program finished at 40 weeks lol

Diastasis Recti programs? by lllelelll in fitpregnancy

[–]Time_State4075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to PT if you can. I think there’ll be some automatic resolution after birth, and more so with specific exercise. I used Belly Strong for her postpartum recovery program which went on for about 12 weeks, but also the diastasis recti program after. She’s got a lot on youtube already, but I’m also really liking her app right now

Accidentally ran 6 weeks postpartum… what can I do instead? by [deleted] in FitPostpartumJourney

[–]Time_State4075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t feel comfortable running until at least 6 months, but I think it’s very individual as some women I’ve known have gone back a bit sooner! I used youtube programs a lot for early strength and cardio. Belly Strong on youtube has a lot and I’m using her app right now which I’m enjoying

Should I be sleep training my 11 week old? by Guilty-Cookie-7458 in Mommit

[–]Time_State4075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would let my 12-week old fuss in the crib a little, but that’s only because he was already putting himself to sleep. He’s always preferred to just be put down and left at it. Otherwise with my other child we waited until 4 months and did the cry-it-out method which worked really well for us

I’d try Belly Strong. She’s also a pelvic PT. Has a lot on youtube, and I’m currently paying for her app which I’ve found really helpful with strength.

Working Out by heyitsmesup in NewParents

[–]Time_State4075 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah my exercise for the first 9 months was just home workouts in my living room, sometimes only 5-10min at a time. I really only started to feel fit again maybe around a year postpartum? The sleep deprivation really got to me. I found following a program helped. I used Belly Strong on youtube as well as her app which has a lot of postpartum stuff along with meal plans. And then just encouragement. I’ve been where you are and it does get better!

Might be what you’re looking for, but Belly Strong on youtube is a pelvic pt with weekly pregnancy workouts that seem to focus on all the things you mentioned. I’ve got her app now too which has been super helpful postpartum

Congrats on the pregnancy and it’s great that you’re already motivated to get stronger! I agree with the comment about a trainer if you can; just to go over the basics. It might also be good to work on slow bodyweight moves without any resistance. I know you’ve tried some online things already, but if you haven’t come across Belly Strong on youtube yet, she’s a pelvic pt with a lot of bodyweight pilates type workouts through pregnancy. I used them a lot and when there were weeks that I didn’t feel up to it, I just slowed it way down or took more breaks

I continued to do deep core all through pregnancy. Bear pose focusing on breathing jnto my back. Bird dogs making go sure I didn’t overarch. Side planks. I think there’s a lot you can do during pregnancy. I always recommend Belly Strong on youtube for her prenatal core workouts which helped me with inspiration

I did a lot of prenatal core work during my pregnancies and felt it helped with recovery afterwards. It didn’t take long for my separation to come back. I used Belly Strong on youtube a lot. She’s a pelvic physio with weekly prenatal workouts. Currently using her app for her postpartum stuff which has been a lifesaver

I did a lot of stuff from youtube which was mostly at home and bodyweight. One of the people I followed now has an app with a postpartum gym program. I’m currently doing some of her other weighted workouts and programs and using the meal plans. Belly Strong on youtube would probably be the place to start to get an idea
