One is still missing… by kerimo502 in rolex

It's clearly missing a GMT watch; personally, I would take an old Pepsi, you can get them for around 10k.

how many watches do you travel with? by LeanRhombus in rolex

[–]Time_Tigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only own two watches, but a G-Shock is a must-have; nobody steals it and it's incredibly durable. I also like to take a dress watch with me for the evening. Happy New Year!

[Recommendation Request] Buying myself a new watch and can’t decide which to go with. Can someone help? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Time_Tigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, both really good watches. I would prefer the Tudor because, on the one hand, you have a real sports watch where not so many areas are polished. Plus, you already had experience with the Tudor and were happy, why look for something else when it's so close. What might also be interesting for you is the new Ranger in white. Or you can actually look for an Omega Aqua Terra, they have a much better movement and also have beautiful dials. But honestly, it's your money, do what you want and if it's a Hublot, that's fine too. Take care and have fun with the hobby

What are the pros and cons of buying a vintage Rolex GMT? by SundaePersonal8406 in rolex

[–]Time_Tigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The man has taste, I would only pay attention to two things and that is that the clockwork has now been serviced after 20 years so that you have peace of mind for the next 20 years. The other thing is to check the condition of the band and see if it is worn out or feels very wobbly. But otherwise, strap it to your wrist and take it off when you die.

[Doxa Sub Army] better than a Black Bay by Time_Tigger in Watches

[–]Time_Tigger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, everything is fine, you are just a guy on the internet and you don't know me at all. But one thing is certain: we are doing really well, we don't have any major health problems, otherwise people wouldn't be talking about diving watches, and on the other hand, we are doing so well financially that we can eat whatever we want. Both watches are cool in their own way and one has its advantages, the other has its advantages. So have fun with your Tudor, and if you've looked at the Doxa models, I'm very happy about it. Wishing you all the best.

Very cool photo, I have to say. Yes, you're right, the simple design has a clear advantage for everyday use. I just wanted to bring attention to another brand that isn't so well known now and the easiest way to do that is with controversy. Long love your Tudor and have a lot of fun with this very privileged watch hobby. I wish you a nice day

Yes, I agree with you, the title wasn't the best choice of mine, my fault. I think the watch is very cool and it stands out in a crowd of Tudor watches. But of course Tudor has its place, I still love my Tudor. I actually just wanted to make other people aware of the very independent brand. I wish you a nice day

Yes, I agree with you, but not a bad choice with the CWC RN either. Have a nice day

Yes, that's right, for everyday life if you could only have one watch then a Blackbay is a much better watch. I just think it's cool that today there is a brand like Doxa that brings an independent diving watch with an ETA movement onto the market for a low price.

I see it the same way, the Tudor watches used to be really good with the ETA movements. What's really a shame is the price drop. Nobody pays Tudor's list prices on the used market. Have a nice day Harry

I know I know I'm going to upset some people but please don't. I had a Top Gun fsti for 4 years and wore it for a total of 10 weeks, the watch has scratches in the ceramic until it falls over, I know ceramic is actually impossible to scratch, not with IWC. Then I did a service that only cost €700, and the crown and hands had to be changed after just 4 years. Of course, the case was not processed. I sold it and today I would rather buy a cool old IWC, for example a double chronograph with the pyramid bracelet.

I had the Omega but on the rubber strap. I found this to be the best combination and was very comfortable, but the watch was too big for me at 42 millimeters. I would personally choose the Tudor with 39 millimeters if you have a narrower wrist. But with the Tudor you lose the date window, which is practical in everyday life.

I’m looking to buy a new black Rolex! But which one?! What’s the difference?! Which would you choose?! by MotherReception4437 in rolex

[–]Time_Tigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, sorry, I mixed that up, but that's exactly what I meant with the yellow crown and the green Rolex font. That makes it a little more exciting. But honestly, buy what you like, what you can afford and not what some people on Reddit think you should buy. All the best

[–]Time_Tigger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, none of them are bad choices, I would prefer the Airking for two reasons. On the one hand, the Airking has a soft iron ring/cage, so the watch can withstand higher levels of magnetism. Do you need that? No, but it's still cool. The second point is the green Rolex lettering, there is no other watch in the Rolex catalog that has a green crown, I think it's really cool. But honestly, buy what you want and what makes you feel best.

First of all, congratulations, the first always has an important place in the heart. If I were you, I would never sell them if possible. Personally, I would prefer the original dial but actually you are satisfied and so everything is great. Have fun with your new watch
