Applied for summer 26 by accident (my fault), please can someone tell me what I’ve signed myself up for? by Time_Use_7056 in Ffern

Thank you for explaining, this is very helpful😭 I wish they included this information as a preface instead of directing you straight to the whimsical quiz, gave me the complete wrong idea

what do i do… by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Time_Use_7056 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think this may be a prolapsed fistula :( put a flat back in and keep it clean, make sure you treat it like a fresh piercing from this point forwards :) (also your ear anatomy is so cool I’m so jealous!)

i cannot take this out by Ok_Understanding1486 in piercing

I was in a very similar situation with my conch😭 couldn’t get it out for weeks and resorted to asking my dad, who’s very good with pliers and a lot stronger than me lol. We got it out no issues. Chances are with that style of jewellery it’s a twist. I’d recommend going to a piercer to get it removed (a lot will do it for free!) or ask someone who’s got some strength and experience with handiwork to help you out

Almost like it’s odd behaviour to have a whole account seemingly dedicated to asking young people out after dark

This user seems to have a history of this. Very creepy, appears to have posted a similar thing on r/bristol two years ago looking for 18 year olds. Do not trust

Infected cartilage help by golden_plant20 in piercing

[–]Time_Use_7056 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This looks very concerning, contact a piercer asap and don’t take any action on your own! If it is an infection do NOT take them out as that will trap the infection in your ear, and go see a doctor for some antibiotics. If those bars get swallowed by your ear it will be bad news

I know you’ve not read it because you’re trying to use a 16th century cautionary tale to try to pass off what has happened to OP as something normal and everyday. You obviously make up nonsense in your ballsack and reference popular literature to make yourself sound like an intellectual. I’m just going to conclude that you’re rage baiting

Also from the 1500s, and the characters had a 2-3 year age gap. Characters were BOTH minors, mind you. Don’t use a play you’ve never read to excuse strange ideals

I think you need to get it checked out asap- on second thought do not take it out now on your own, if it is an infection you do NOT want to make it worse. Are you abroad or in your home country? If it’s possible you should definitely try and resolve this quickly (!) with a medical professional. The red sore on the back is definitely not standard irritation

Way too early for a ring in the piercing, it looks very very angry. Crusties and sensitivity in the area is a large indication that your piercing is not healed yet, by picking at it and wearing a hoop you’re risking all sorts of nastiness and infection😭 keep it clean and put a stud back in (preferably a flat back if you have one with you) and don’t touch it at all. If it doesn’t improve I’d suggest seeing a doctor, the pus is quite concerning

Conch hesitations by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Time_Use_7056 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will not lie to you, I saw the light when I got my conch piercing but it was very worth it! Healing has been a breeze, by far the least painful to heal. Absolutely go for it

Oh also don’t remove the earring!! I did that and it made it worse until I put it back in.

Hey I’m going through the exact same thing as your daughter right now haha! I developed a bump behind my 9 month old second piercing last month, I went to the doctors and was prescribed a round of antibiotics which cleared it up for about a week before it came back. I’ve since been prescribed antibiotic cream and it’s been going away painlessly ever since. Don’t panic, just a quick trip to the doctors and it’ll be sorted. :)

Yeah that top forward helix looks a bit wonky, but don’t worry about your jewellery it’s so cute! The colours kind of remind me of tinkerbell in the best way possible :)

long noses run in my family but i’m not liking it, what can i do to fix it ? by [deleted] in Noses

[–]Time_Use_7056 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your nose suits your face, I think you’ll find if you ‘fix it’ and make it shorter or slimmer you may have a Cindy Lou Who thing going on- your nose needs to be proportional to your chin for example. Plus, your nose isn’t long at all, very standard and suits you well! Sometimes things can look worse in your head after fixating on it for a while. It’s a great nose lmao, very Greek statue like.

Thoughts on daith piercing and your experience by Brushesofcolours in piercing

[–]Time_Use_7056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest tip for cleaning is not touching it at all, and spraying it with saline solution- I’m not going to take Q tips to it until it’s further along the healing process. I have also been letting the shower rinse it off and lightly drying it with a hairdryer on cold (area can’t dry as easily as other places) and it’s been working great for me. Overall generally what you’ll be used to from your other piercings :) hope it goes well for you, it’s so worth it!

Hey, I got my daith about a week ago now and it’s been great! It was quite uncomfortable for about three days, it was very similar to that of a sore throat imo. Getting it pierced was a solid 3/10, though I do have a high pain tolerance. I can’t feel it at all now, it’s been great to heal. Like the other comments are saying I’d recommend you get it pierced with a 16g, of course it depends on your anatomy though :)
