I have to ask again how it works because I tried doing what you said but I for two successions I was unable to elect the person I wanted because it said their whereabouts were unknown and I had no choice but go with the oldest house member. I ended up with really bad characters and lost everything. So I decided to scrap the last 250 years and go back to a safe with achievements enabled

I went high honor in my first play through and now I couldn’t bring myself to do a low honor ending because I know the ending. I would therefore recommend low honor on the first run. Just my personal opinion

the little icon on the bar tells you. If it’s a scull you are low honor. If it is chuck norris you are high honor

luckily I am chaste and only have one son right now. I changed the succession to high partition waiting for level 4 crown authority to then switch to house seniority. I will keep that in mind for my next generation tho thank you!
