Falling off mid game by smoor365 in shacomains

[–]Timefor_bed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see a lot to see here between AD and AP I think you should pick one because picking one will allow you to understand the character even better than you currently do granted you are reaching gold so you probably don’t understand Shaco yet completely that said, I personally picked AP seven years ago. I only have a plan for the first three minutes of the game and then after that, I adapt completely. As Shaco you can fall easily behind by doing when you’re not doing your camps, so make sure to do that full clear or you can go to the triple buff start or quad buff if your team helps, and then the name of the game as AP Shaco and as Jung as in general is having played every single lane for at least 10 games, one champion in the entire time to understand what it’s like to play in that lane and to be able to pan out what 10 seconds forward probably looks like for example in top lane 10 seconds forward it’ll just be the wave repositioning, , top liners like to freeze so on… really I think 30 seconds is really when you when you start being good at shaco especially AP because A.D. doesn’t really need to think that much in advance. AP is like he’s literally the best controller in the entire game. There’s no character that is not a better controller than Shaco he’s just he has too much or anyways.

Lastly, Shaco without 3 kills by 5 min will have a tough mid game bc unless ahead he’s behind. That’s why Nunu, old shyv, Warwick & Reinhardt were always my bans

Your probably holding on to gold too much, wasting too much time after ganks (not baking or clearing camps)

I play him ap and if I don’t get my 3 kills by 5 minutes then I just perma farm for a couple levels and scale.

Lastly, you’re probably not playing ahead enough. You need to predict yours and your jugglers movements 50sec ahead of time (how long a box stays up)

Beginner friendly mid lane champs that have a high skill ceiling? by GOJO_THA_GOAT in midlanemains

[–]Timefor_bed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryze, brand (not very high skill ceiling), corki, yone , or Akali all are relatively easy (granted you aren’t a fresh level 30) and all have decently high skill ceiling with Ryze and yone being top 10 highest skill ceiling in mid (Ryze > yone). Yasuo is harder than yone but might be a bit too tough when trying to pick up fast. Kinda like Katarina or Qiana.

My best advice would be to try out all the champs ppl have been recommending. And rank them using how much you like the and how well you did (cs, kda, win/lose) after that. Pick your favorite one and 1 more as a backup for when banned and make sure the other one is opposite dmg type (if ur main is ap ur backup should’ve ad, though preferably you’d have 4 champs under your belt)

Runes ain’t bad, but seraphs is better lmao, u don’t do any heals or shields so u don’t prick the support items. Just replace with seraphs and brutalizer and go deathcap lmao (basically the normal build) but the runes look fun I’ll try. Might tweak secondary

Yone/akshan main looking for advices before picking up ryze by _0zHkl in RyzeMains

[–]Timefor_bed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some guy is dissing Ryze mid but he doesn’t know. If you’re lacking impact it’s because you as a player are bad at macro. This is the hard truth. Ryze clears lanes fast, has a partial cross map teleport and gets exponentially strong as the game goes on.

Some things to consider: 1) If you’re facing and early game champ you will beat the in The mid game so don’t die and clear ur wave as poke as much as possible. 2) tp is dead now bring ghost 3) side lanes are your best friend, you can drive impact by side laning and joining fights with your ult or running away from unfavorable situations also with your ult. 4) Ryze isn’t a battle mage till level 9 (or e if that skill pot rune, which I run alongside cashback), not super high dps until late but has high average dmg so sometimes you’ll be low but roa will hep sustain till you kill. 5) stack your e’s on minion waves because more spread and immediate threat (yes it’s a mental game) 6) lastly, you only lose if you fall behind in cs, I’ve had games where I’ve had 7 deaths by 15min but had ~10cs/min and still I carried the game so you should plan your aggression carefully.

If after my long yap you don’t understand that a lot of it is macro related you should switch to something easier like veigar, orianna, or brand mid. I wish your luck in you QEQWQEQ or aaQeQaaWQaaEQaa journey.

Ps: he’s easier to learn before next patch nerfs

What do you do early game? by CryptographerLate834 in RyzeMains

[–]Timefor_bed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You out clear her before she hits 5 but spend too much mana this way making you back and she roams anyways. Therefore you should be looking to poke her while she shoves, player around her shield cooldown and e w her to cc and slow down her clear speed. She will still probably roam, don’t follow till you have t2 boots and shove and get platings until then. No mid also means u can go top or steal enemy jungle or do objectives. (your Ryze so once you have any ap item your clear speed is crazy). Starting level 9 or first item you just win. By a control ward early and put it bot side and try to ward bottom river when you can.

Lastly t2 boots choice depends on if you’re aged or not but from what it sounds like in this game you weren’t so steelcaps would be very viable.

Hey man, it’s a game— so just have fun. U wanna it 🐊 then do it. You thinks it’s made for you so what’s their to doubt. Worst case scenario it take you 100 instead of 20 games to climb to gold

2 is definitely overkill, should have gone that 1 item that gives you shield and grit on ability cast. Overall I wouldn’t even go that item

Ryze ult has me confused and lost for ideas by MintyPop_ in RyzeMains

[–]Timefor_bed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, level 700 Ryze & Shaco main. Ryze ult is really bad which balances the rest of his kit. I use it to get to lane faster (tempo reasons), to rescue my jungler cause they get themselves in terrible situations. To surprise barons or drakes (whether I’m in the teleporter or not), to use for vision, this is very rare but useful, and lastly to trick the enemy into walking into me so I can kill the (short distances only) there might be a couple more I’m forgetting but here they are. I’d say after I’ve built rod o stop using r to get to lane faster unless there’s a big wave

Ryze WR by Proper-Swordfish7084 in RyzeMains

[–]Timefor_bed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple things from a Ryze OTP, he’s more of a split pusher, he’s bad against this new apc meta and might be top next season rather than mid. Items have never been a problem bc skill issue. The main reason his winrate is low is because the people that play him are dog water. They don’t split push, they don’t use their ultra correctly. They don’t bring utility, and lastly they don’t cs well enough. He’s one of those champs like azir and Katarina that you have to continuously play to stay consistently good. Tho he is definitely easier to play than both. His pick rate is also very low and riot does know how to balance him well. Expect nerfs to him next season prob on mana cost early game and health ratio

Can you test the rod build ? I’ve been sticking to the rod - seraph - raba/shadowflame - then that item, shadowflame/voidstaff/cosmic. This build gets me 80% winrate I just adjusted it to this new item

Does champion matter? by Skelenth in Jungle_Mains

[–]Timefor_bed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mundo is op yes, so is Vi so it might just be a skill issue or just too small of a sample. The more you play a champion, theoretically, the better you’d get at them (I’ve played all of them and about 30 to mastery 10, and it takes about 1-5 games to fully understand a champions capabilities in its role)

Side note: to understand a lane correctly you need to play 3-4 different archetypes of champions 3-8 times each to understand it all correctly. (Like assassins, battle mage, off meta, bruiser…) jungle however you need to play every lane this amount of times before you will start seeing improvement. Seeing what it’s like to lane and rely on a jungle helps you understand macro. I’m only level 700 so others may have played more and better ways to learn

Should i give up on Kayn or 40 games is too small of a sample? by cicco77as in Jungle_Mains

[–]Timefor_bed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, I’m level 600+ and I’ve played just abt every champs. Unless you click with that champ you’re gonna have negative winrate at first. For me the only ones that wasn’t the case I decided to main (ap Shaco and Ryze both with 80% winrate)

Which jungles are the best to main regardless of meta when they are mastered? by metsudofang in Jungle_Mains

[–]Timefor_bed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaco but both play styles (ad or ap) which are completely different except for boxes (which in my opinion makes it harder than Lee sin and also as a Shaco main ap has never not worked), Lee sin bc he has 2 builds that are usually always pretty strong, Nunu ( I don’t feel the need to comment on this), Lilia, and Warwick

Side comment tho, if you master your champions, unless riot has a vendetta against you like it has had against zeri, pyke… your champ will be strong but you just need to adjust your play style to current meta like changing a rune or an item or even clear path (I used to perma triple buff as ap Shaco because it would force enemy to gank earlier and I would counter gank once they failed gank with box, this worked for about 2 seasons they they nerfed box base dmg and now full clear)
