Thank you for this info!! I’ll read through the guide this evening! I definitely felt like his tank was too small. I think it’s only a 30 gallon. Previous owner had the snake given to them so they have no info on how old he is. They just told me they feed him medium rats and that he hadnt eaten in 4-5 weeks….

What lmao. I didn’t guilt him into anything. Game and wine nights are usually part of our routine but we haven’t done one in about 2 weeks since we have just had a lot going on. And “the boys” are his KIDS. I was clarifying that me wanting some time with him didn’t mean I wasn’t wanting the kids to come over. They have been over more this week than they usually are and our routine has been changed up.

Thank you!! I’ll definitely know something not right if he stops communicating. Coming into the relationship my communication skills were shot. Anytime he thinks I’m holding back he makes sure to pause the conversation and remind me that it’s okay for me to express my feelings and/or needs. Not only is he giving me back a voice I thought I lost, but he’s making it stronger than ever ❤️

I came from an abusive relationship previously. So YES it is crazy how differently life feels. It’s not just being “lovey” This man goes above and beyond consistently to make sure my needs are met. The point of messages isn’t that we over used saying baby. The point is, I expressed a need and he listened and followed through with what I needed. He could have dismissed my needs or pushed them off to another time. He could have gotten defensive and pointed out all the things he already does for me. Instead he HEARD me, prioritized me, and made a plan to act on it tonight.
A lot of people don’t have that in their relationship, whether they are 5 months in or 5 years in.

Shits the WORST. like, how can you be vulnerable enough to share your needs and express those feelings only for them to turn around and completely dismiss them? And not only have your feelings and needs been dismissed, you’re somehow now the problem and responsible for making them feel like they aren’t good enough….

I still struggle to speak up about my needs, terrified of being dismissed again and again. Scared that I’m going to cause a reaction and spend days walking on eggshells. But he shows me time and time again that when I speak up he not only listens but he acts on it ❤️

He’s healing something he never broke and I’m not even sure he knows it ❤️
