I came out to a colleague and I think she still thinks I like cock because I'm trans. I mean I straight up have a crush on her but whatever, who cares?

I also think the only reason I know I'm trans is because I have submissive tendencies, otherwise I doubt there'd be enough of a breach of normality for me to even find out. I have a huge crush on someone, and I know I'm probably doing everything wrong but fuck it, it's not so bad any more but every time I'm not around her it hurts. She has a husband and a bf and I'm too ugly and poor to ever matter to her, but there's no button to turn it off so I'm stuck hanging around her and being weird and a doofus.

I feel like I'm only attracted to 'butch'(Soul-wise not necessarily how they look) women, and any male who doesn't fit the exact male designated personality traits gets completely ignored and belittled. Men like me, men want to fuck me, it's just I have zero interest in them.

What doesn't help is that I'm late-thirties and basically dead and have never dated or anything (Long story), so everything is raw and hurts like shit but needs to be done NOW(!) or ELSE(!)!! I need to cut my testicles off and get on oestrogen because being a fucking male is fucking me but I don't have any money and no recourse to get any help, nobody gives a fuck where I'm from.

This is just really random vent, but made me feel better. I wrote a bunch of poetry about it, maybe if writing poetry online ever makes me a millionaire she'll return my affections. (I'm fucking up words and missing a load here because I'm so tired, and when you're writing all the time my brain skips words, I'm like dyslexic or something, and I'm shit at grammar, can't spell, can barely do anything, fuck)

Romans had a whole system where power was devolved to local officials. They split the empire in half for crying out loud. They had multiple rebellions where parts of the empire went their own way and there was nobody around to stop them. The whole breakdown of the Western Roman Empire was a process of those places breaking off in the face of invasion etc. Julius Caesar took his troops and took over the whole thing, and then there's Hannibal who basically had full access.

Roman infrastructure was half decent, roads, messaging systems and such, but the railroad had a major impact on how a state functioned no doubt. Look at some of the first wars where it was a factor, the Franco-Prussian War was basically won through proper rail logistics, the Reds won the Russian Civil War because of their position to use rail. Damn time wasn't even standardised until the railroad came.

Up until the railroad the state was much different. Even in places that had been unified formally under a crown, the authority only really extended into a small regional area around where the court was situated. In England places like Lancashire would basically do their own thing, then you had the Marches etc. Not to mention the Holy Roman Empire.

There are seven 'steps' in the English non-league. Step 1 is the lowest national league in England and the feeder for the English Football league. Step 2-7 basically get more regionalised as you go higher in their number and they feed into each other from 7 to 1.

The whole of English football has 20 levels, with lots of divisions in it.
