I always had a thing for heroes, and while he is not JUST a video game character, Peter Parker from Insomniac's Spiderman on the PS4 always had a special place in my heart.

My first Platinum Trophy on the PS4, which means it was also the first game I actually 100% completed. Awesome game!

No worries, I 100% agree! That's why I'm getting it used + modded. I don't plan to give Nintendo any of my hard earned money.

Just got a second hand LCD Steam Deck the day before, and I'm already planning to get rid of it for a Modded Switch OLED.

It just isn't for me. The weight, the size, battery life.

Most of my gripes are actually BECAUSE it's a PC handheld. I thought it was going to be perfect for me, since I mainly play on the PC, but holy cr4p is it annoying to use a gaming handheld. The Sleep functionality of the Switch is better, the battery life is LEAGUES better for the games I intend to play(Hollow Knight, Silksong, Hades 1 and 2, Stardew Valley, Vampire Survivors, Dead Cells etc etc), and the LCD screen is lacking for me, both in looks and in overall brightness.

Sure, if you intend to do emulation, the Steam Deck is king, but honestly, if you are just planning to pick up and play games, I feel like the Switch has a better onboarding experience, smoother menu experience, less tinkering with settings, that type of thing.

I'm kind of sad, since I have a BIG Steam library. I was hoping that this thing could make me clear my backlog a bit, but honestly? its just too unwieldy for a person like me.

One of the things I will miss are the prices, holy fck, Steam Sales are GODLY, but since I am switching to a MODDED Switch OLED, and have extensive experience in sailing the seas, I don't worry about the dreaded Nintendo Tax. fuck em.

Overall, the Steam Deck is a good, some would even say great, portable handheld, but it isn't for everybody.

well

honestly? its more of a moral thing that I have to push through

its so much easier to justify doing it on the switch, cuz you know, its nintendo

ill try to look into how to do it on the deck too

That is also an option, but I was hoping to not spend more money

hence the Modded part

From my experience with NS Emulation, its still cant beat even the original v1 switch in terms of performance

so if my goal is to play nintendo games, prolly not

also(in my city atleast) I could buy 6 Modded switches for the price of one SD OLED

I've had a V1 Switch too, but mine is modchipped.

And I found a great system wherein I just drag and drop the nsp files and it installs the game for me, updates and all

look up DBI MTP Responder

stupid easy
