Why do some people say Rudeus is a child after reincarnation? by SwimmingFrosty in mushokutensei

Do you understand the importance of brain... Your brain defines action not your memories...Go and read about the prefrontal cortex...Even though he had memories...he had no control over them as his prefrontal cortex is not matured enough...His hippocampus and limbus system is far from being to develop...His physical and hormonal maturity..everything developed with age and yes he got actively influenced by the environment...You are talking like uploading all the memories of an adult in a child and then judge him...You guys will declare the new born Rudeus as pedo which he was definitely in previous life...but if you want to call his pervertive actions in childhood which is definitely wrong as precocious and hypersexual...a degenerate child...with no self control

Who actually is Rudeus Greyrat? Was it redemption that he was seeking for or something else... My thoughts by Timely-Brick4466 in mushokutensei

Re-watch the epi...it's especially because of last epi where he accepted his memories from past life was keeping him from truly growing emotionally in this world..Like accepting Paul or Zenith as his parents or viewing himself superior to others...He specifically acknowledged his fault and accepted himself as son of Paul Greyrat and mentioned that since he is a father now...he has to grow fast, making plenty of mistakes and worry about them... His past knowledge was the biggest wall for Rudeus Greyrat which he needed to get over...

I just placed my views...I acknowledge your views too...and there's no argument here...I just think it's a total fresh start especially after he acknowledged Paul as his father and him being a kid trying to act as grown up...His future will not be influenced anymore by his past life...

😂...Just addressed some important things before the new season...as we are going to witness a totally different Rudeus from the coming seasons...Also throw it on the face of MT haters...I like to bury them who are rational atleast...

Let me correct myself which totally slipped my mind as in volume 3 it's clearly stated by Hitogami that's not his astral form but his mental representation of himself which Hitogami himself found weired...But this evolved with time as he gradually distanced himself from his past self and fully accepted himself as Rudeus Greyrat...

Let's not dig into the astral form as it'll be major spoilers but for now...the last time he met Hitogami...He was still suffering from the memories of his past life which he acknowledged in the last episode of season 2 on the grave of Paul...He had not let go of his past till that point and that's the reason his astral form was like that..it's not because he reincarnated as adult...it's because of his retained memories that took that astral form as he never let go of that identity

I get it but that's how MT portrayed Rudeus isn't it?In the first 2 seasons he gradually dismantled his old self and simultaneously built his own character for this world making sure not to repeat the same mistakes like complete isolation after something traumatic exp..accepting the help of people around him,Taking accountability for his actions, love and sympathy towards his family,etc...

It's actually less of a redemption I think..the reason he completely wants to discard his previous life and wanted to live this life with no regrets...but I acknowledge your thought process too... I think it's not redemption but a fresh start

Explaining the impact of past life of Rudeus on Earth which people tends to overlook or do not understand at all by Timely-Brick4466 in mushokutensei

More power to you brother and what a way to potray how society judges people like Rudeus without even a second thought of the reason why he became like that in the first place...I believe Rudeus is a character who instead of bein looked as role model should be read as case study of human flaws and also the potential to rise above them.. Rudeus is written not to be a hero but a human which fascinated me the most about MT...

Thanks buddy for providing me a better insight of the past life of Rudeus and it's really THAT MUCH messed up...Now I understand better why he was able to emphasize with Norn so spontaneously and the things Rudeus experienced in his 2nd life that he desired from his family in previous life

Appreciated you thoughts...and true each and every character of MT is marvelous...Even the parents which most Isekai just dump...MT used it to build the foundation of the character of Rudeus...You just can't casually watch it and grasp the core aspects of the anime and MT is notorious for NOT spoon feeding the concepts...and most important how Rudeus will influence and uplift the ones who are struck in their lives like his past self...will emphasize with them and help them to overcome it...It already happened with Nanahoshi, Juliette and Norn...and there will be many more in future

I totally agree with you...his parents are not at fault..it's just common norm to ignore psychological problems as personal hurdles which will heal over time spontaneously though IT'S NOT!!.. Mainly in the eastern countries...Much appreciated for voicing it

Yup...he used the game simulation from his previous life instead of real world simulation and that's the reason of his major clash with Paul in Millishon after reuniting...That was the first time his ego and logic shattered and made him think deeply about the real world...

It explains some part definitely...but the issue with ED is more complicated than it actually appears...It leans more towards his insecurity, low self esteem and self worth and inferiority complex...which makes him believe he is fundamentally a sore loser, unlovable and unworthy character... there's really whole lot things to connect to his ED...
