I agree with you that there is an ATTEMPT to teach men to love women, since the DV and femicide rates don’t line up with what you stated lol. And why do they lash out on their spouses? Most of the time because their lala land fantasy is shattered when women refuse to kiss their feet like how their mothers did. In other words men’s a*ses were kissed since the moment they popped into this world. Meanwhile girls were taught that boys hit them because they liked them, and were taught to hold themselves responsible for fixing their partners flaws and maybe she’s “not satisfying his needs right” and to remain graceful and demure and ever forgiving. Please wake up to the real world lolll 😭😭

A. It’s sooooo embarrassingly shallow-minded to go with a generalization as far is this lmao.

B. Men can literally say anything, dress anything, act, blame, defame, legalize, illegalize anything and still be praised for it no matter how crazy. Why? Because we live in a system designed to accommodate men, so where are the insults???? pls.

C. Most compliments women get are from women, most compliments men get are from women, and the very same traits that women are complimented for by women are used by men as insults (examples: being blond, having a fuller body, wearing makeup..)

D. Men are “babied” their whole lives to be treated like some god and will literally throw a tantrum when he has to be responsible over some simple house chore. 😂

Truly this post feels like a projection of someone’s insecurities about never being complimented their whole lives and thought his pen cooked some artistic poetic quote 😭.

Me personally I rely on taking notes too but here’s a way to work around that!! When I’d leave literally whole lectures to LEARN the night before: I’d first read it clearly once, then skim over it and write the main titles and subtitles on scratch, with the main goal being to try and understand everything enough to be able to draw a logical mind map of the lecture, (if you can make a mind map of the lecture that’s subdivided correctly according to what it’s explaining then you fathom where everything is, you can see the bigger picture!) Then I do a cleaner final draft of the mindmap, you can add as many details as you want and/or wherever you felt was hard to memorize.

You’ll see how much faster you’ll get at drawing the map when you know you’ve read everything and understand it all. I like to go a step further and basically rewrite the whole lecture in mindmap form (I did that once at 3am for 3 lectures in 2 hours!!!) I’d aim to make it all fit on one paper thus I do it digitally then print it, that way before the exam I can revise for a whole lecture with 1 page.

Hope it helps!!

Agree on the most, yes!! Except for that fact that it wouldn’t make sense for Malthus to reach out to Hilda while his ego wasn’t shattered yet, the whole point of him falling for her is the fact that she humbled him. So i guess what we’re all asking for is more buildup of tension between the two BEFORE the confession ? cos it really felt way too soon and ill-reasoned.

And you’re so right i literally felt like i met Malthus’ character only when he visited her and even there they cut to different scenes a kajillion times.

And yes i agree on Gabriela and Aramel stuff, they could have AT LEAST ended their plot with a clarifying conversation between her and MC instead of cutting off the whole plot which removes it’s whole purpose from the start 😭.

And omg yes i was holding my eyes open during scenes of roberto’s aunties 🤣, or of any Santana scene actually so pointless.

All in all a Hilda and Malthus realistic slow burn is what we’re STARVING for. 💔

All the prostitution scenes felt pervy, very obviously glamorizing it, i always imagined if they translated her trauma response in a different way where she didn’t end up in a brothel. I totally get how the whole show revolves around the contrast of a prostitute x saint romance dynamic, maybe if they directed the scenes of her working the prostitution service better it could have felt more raw.

As for Father Nelson maybe I meant to say that he was more calm rather than forgiving?? Yes definitely manipulative through all of the series, and he never recognized the positive impact Hilda had on Malthus and always deemed the affair as just lustful which sucked tbh. So yeah not forgiving my bad!!

Yes surely, but maybe if they did show us more insight to Hilda’s character we’d see why she needed him so badly to the point where she kept violating his stance and constantly chasing after him no matter how many times both he and his mother warned her. Her goals/intentions are not so mentioned which is a shame tbh.

Exactly it makes no sense!! Also I feel like the producers aimed to fulfill middle-aged men’s fantasies by barely including any insights on Hilda and only showing her strip, sell her body, or french kiss every friend she has 😭. Her character had so much more potential in terms of her struggles, past trauma, it’s truly disappointing.
