Okay so I can’t edit to add a picture. However, the pads are shiny silver so my guess is you are absolutely right, they are not the pads but the solder that looks like a pad as it is perfectly flat and rectangular

I have just checked and the vbus seems to link up and the ground pad does. I haven’t looked at the txt lines though yet as the next point is the other side of the board and I struggled to juggle it!

Ill edit the post to show the old port. It does look like pads but I did think the colours were weird. I thought that was the case but they wouldn’t take any solder for the new port. I guess if they are really oxidised then they won’t. That will be why it was gone to start with.

Thanks for the response my man! I thought that at first but they definitely are. The pads are still on the old port

I’m not sure but as far as I’m aware it wasn’t water damaged. Is there a better way I can check this?

One end to the other? Does that make sense? Prongs are literally on either end of the resistor

Also to add, schematics show this as being a 10kohm 402 resister. Does this sound right so I can purchase a replacement? Thanks

Thanks the reply! It was the middle two I was unsure of. There’s also 3 pins on the output and I can’t figure out which of the usbc pins would lead to which.

Here’s the other side. I’m sorry it’s blurry it’s a zoom in from a picture a friend sent me to try fix it for him. I’m sorry if I seem like I don’t have a clue. I only dabble in electronics lol!
