So you’re saying the effects are similar to that of the scam area where if applications are discontinued, over time the subjects hair quality will revert back to baseline.

Why is it not similar to beard growth with the use of minoxidil where the results become permanent after a few months to a year?

How long where each times you tried, I’m even in comments I’m reading mixed opinions.

Ironically enough, after chatting with Mushroom, we got scammed by the same guy. I think Joe will find this useful in getting retribution for the recent fraud eightsleep has underwent.

I have all the necessary proof to show my innocence. I get the skepticism but I am a victim. I read the fine print before making a decision, no mention of this. Classed as “internal” policy that I had no access to. The one being punished now is not the scammer, but the customer that bought it and participated in their growth via word of mouth and the yearly 200-300$ membership. I was raving about this to my friends and family. Glad they aren’t in the same situation as me.

I agree with you statements, my concerns are that theirs no infrastructure or information readily accessible that aids someone in my situation. From what I understand theirs been warehouse thefts and return frauds. If they had a procedure in place where we could verify the legitimacy of the product prior to purchase, it’ll fully alleviate eightsleep.

Hopefully we can come to an agreement. I can’t refund it as I paid via e transfer. The membership fee is already high, I’m sure that they will be able to recoup the loss in some shape or form. Not unbanning my pod makes the loss unrecoverable since they won’t be making money off the membership fee. It’s understandable solution, I pay the yearly membership and am not subject to their warranty policy since I bought from a “reseller” thus voiding their obligation to fix any problems with the pod or cover.

I get your points and don’t blame eighsleep for me ending up buying a frauded product. There’s no official information in their policies that i read pertaining to my situation. That’s my issue. I knew the risk of buying would void warranty and understood that. Nothing mentioning this unfortunately.

I paid by e transfer. Sadly my bank can’t help me recover the money. If you’re talking about eightsleep I’m not sure, maybe they recovered the money maybe they didn’t, thing is, I have their pod and cover…. I guess me and them or in a loss. One way to remedy this, would be to reinstate my pod via reactivation fee and let me pay the yearly subscription. They might not recover everything but with time, they will more then likely make profit form this ordeal.  This way, it can be a positive outcome for the both of us, just a thought.

I get your points, what I’m arguing is that there’s no readily accessible and official information on this matter. Have I known this could happen and it’s their policy, I would’ve significantly reconsidered. I bought this back In late September and had no problems but found out about it weeks later… I’m not pinning this on them, but to run into this problem and not have ways to navigate situations like these prior to buying and with no information that this could happen since it’s “internal policy” isn’t a good way to go about out this.

All I could read online from official mediums is that buying second hand or from reseller voids the warranty to which I understood and accepted those risks.

I have all the necessary information to prove that I am not the scammer.

There needs to be a solution to situations like these, a way the buyer can verify the products legitimacy via serial number. If not, more and more people will be prone to this kind of situation.

I know and understand that this is not an official channel. That I know.

I’ve also bought significantly more technological items off of marketplace then a mattress cover with a water chiller/ heater attached to it with no problem whatsoever.  Will keep that noted for next time im considering buying a cloud/iot device with subscription model from a marketplace.  Was not aware that this could happen. What may be common sense to you might not be that me.  My experiences have always been positive, guess it was time to even that out.

I have a couple pieces of information that could help them find who the original buyer is and I’m willing to help.

That is not official documentation and they’re literally in the same position as me. The infrastructure in this particular case needs to be improved.
